I have taken NAC for about 3 years for moods. I finally took my own advice – it really does help to keep me on an even keel! It is difficult to determine which brands are better than others, but I base my review on several factors – price, smell, size of pill, effects.
There is a wide range of price tags out there, this one being average. There was no discernible odor from the capsules and they were not too hard to swallow. As I already take NAC, there was no big changes, and it appeared to maintain me at my baseline. I do believe that NAC helps with my mood and keeps me a little more focussed.
I think this is a decent alternative to other brands I have tried and I recommend.

NAC is so important for liver health and function. This brand is a decent one. Easy to swallow capsules. Has a slight odor but most NAC supplements I have tried smell like sulphur. Gives me assurance that I am doing what I can to help my liver fight through life.

Anyone else have this with their supplements? I’ve thrown away several. The inside is like course salt? I don’t think I’ll be ordering this NAC again..

Good price, i had a couple of burst capsules in the container, hence the minus one star.

I have been using NAC as a way to increase the body’s production of Glutathione that ends up improving the mitochondrial effectiveness, have antioxidant and anti-aging properties, among others. This is especially true if NAC is supplemented with Glycine. For further information on this, please refer to videos of Dr. Brad Stanfield on the subject, available on the internet. While this product has no Glycine added, it has Selenium and Molybdenum which bring their own benefits.
This is the first time I test a product by Nutreture and while I have no way to objectively confirm its advertised benefits, I have not experimented any adverse reactions and believe that benefits will be felt with time. Finally, it is good and fitting, I think, to suggest that Nurtreture has this product tested by a third-party lab as a way to build credibility. I hope it helps.

They smell like rotten eggs and the bottle was filthy. I do not recommend this product.

I started taking NAC a couple of years ago for both its anti-inflammatory and detoxification benefits. I think its an important supplement because its a powerful antioxidant. It helps your immune system function and helps protect the body from toxins and oxidative stress. Because I’ve been taking it for so long I can’t tell the difference when I switch brands. I can say I like this brand for two reasons. First, the smell is not offensive. I know NAC can smell because of the sulfur but some brands definitely have a stronger smell then others. Second, I like the price. The current price is reasonable for a bottle with 100 pills. The directions on the bottle say take 1-3 capsules a day. I only take 1 capsule a day, in the evening; so for me this is over a 3 month supply. I would caution against the higher dose without talking to a medical provider.

I have taken glutathione for years to help support the anti-inflammatory process. Since NAC is a precursor to glutathione, I decided to use it to help my body make its own. I’ve been taking it for a few weeks now. Aside from a bit of an energy boost, I can’t report with confidence that my overall condition has gotten any better than with the glutathione supplement – but it certainly hasn’t gotten any worse! The pills themselves do not smell strongly – unlike some other similar supplements – and I have experienced no adverse reactions to taking them. If I notice anything significant, positive or negative, I will update this review – but in the meantime, so far so good!

I got this because I take NAC for my liver and I really like the added selenium and molybdenum. I try to take about 1800 mgs of NAC daily and with a 600 mgs dose I can easily do so with a morning, midday, and evening dose of one cap each. Due to chemotherapy I had many years ago I go to extreme lengths to protect my liver and to my knowledge there is nothing better for it than NAC. It mostly does that ( protecting the liver) by producing glutathione the strongest antioxidant there is. Even though supplements are sold as glutathione it does not do very well getting past the digestive process. Even when it’s liposomal or reduced. Glutathione also protects the liver by detoxifying it. Breaking down toxins so they can be removed/processed. Selenium also helps do that. Keep in mind your liver cleans your blood and is like a filter. So NAC in a way is like a filter cleaner keeping your liver running in tip top shape. And too NAC helps all the organs with this glutathione it makes. And to have an abundant source of glutathione one needs molybdenum and selenium with the enzymes they produce to facilitate this chemical process. And that’s why this a great combination !
Now I see discussion on the smell and I see some discussion with that is the way NAC is. I have been taking NAC for decades from several dozens of suppliers and have never come across it smelling like this. But I will say mine did not smell too bad. My favorite two brands which are third party tested does not have black specks or a smell. Mine had no black specks as you can see by the picture. I wonder if the selenium and the molybdenum in these caps, with their enzymes, started a chemical reaction with the NAC and this is why there is a smell ? Just a guess ! Also look at the picture and notice it looks like translucent sugar flakes. I have another picture with two third party tested NAC on each side of this. The ones on the sides are pure NAC and this Natureture brand in the middle has the added selenium and molybdenum in it. So we expect it too look different and I think if this was ground up more it would be a more of a white looking like powder like the ones on the side. Just like sugar looks when it is ground to make powdered sugar. Perhaps this is a good thing it is not ground up ? I honestly do not know.
This comes in 662 mgs on my scale so we are very very close to what is stated. And yes I did weigh it with the capsule/encapsulated but close enough IMO.
If you notice they state their product has been examined with their laboratory testing methods for potency and purity . I like that. I would like it more if it was third party tested ! When you take NAC you do not feel anything or at least I do not. You just trust it’s doing it’s job. All my liver test have indicated it gets an A plus for not only maintaining it but actually improving the health of my liver. This NAC with its added ingredients is novel and has much going for it. I think it would be worth the effort of the company to see why other companies that use real NAC do not have the smell issue? If in fact it is as I guessed and is an enzyme reaction then this would make this all the more appealing IMO ! I did taste this out side of the cap and it tastes identical to the other third party tested brands I had. So this looks very promising and hopefully this company will pursue getting this third party tested . Hope this was helpful.
