N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is a stable form of the non-essential amino acid cysteine. It is a sulfur-containing amino acid that acts as a stabilizer for the formation of protein structures, and promotes the formation of glutathione. Glutathione is a powerful free radical scavenging compound that also helps to maintain normal, balanced immune system function. I have taken NAC on and off through the years. This product is of great quality. The odor and burps are very common with this supplement-with that said I do find the TABLETS are better to curb the odor and burps than the capsules. This also is a little bit pricier than some other supplements on here not making this the best value. You can purchase tablets at a lower cost at the same strength for less-which in my opinion is preferred. Do they work, yes. Would I order them again-if they were on sale or with a coupon, sure. Would I prefer tablets to these, yes.

I have been taking this for about 3 weeks and it does seem to have a positive effect on me. I feel like I have more energy and in an overall better mood.
The instructions say to take on an empty stomach so I initially decided to take them before bed. I then started having minor stomach discomfort. I thought maybe this was because the capsule was going in and dissolving all at once on one side of my stomach (I sleep on my side). I then tried putting just the powder in my mouth, adding water, swishing and then swallowing. This seemed to resolve the stomach issue but then I started waking up more at night. That might be just a coincidence though. I am now taking them first thing in the morning and that seems to be working a lot better for me.
I like that these are made in the US and are easy to swallow. The taste isn’t great if you empty a capsule in your mouth but it is tolerable. For me, they seem to have a nice effect.

Friends recommended to start eating NAC supplements for general well being so got this. The pills are fine and not too big so no issues swallowing. I tried the 3 month supply and didnt really feel much of a difference. Perhaps it didnt work for me so stopped eating them.

I have been taking NAC for several years as recommended by my healthcare provider. This brand hit a lot of marks for me. It is non-gmo, gluten-free, produced in a GMP facility in the USA, and has only a few other ingredients. They are the vegetarian capsule, rice flour, silicon dioxide, a naturally occurring anti-caking ingredient, and magnesium stearate, which, after looking it up, is a salt that is formed when stearate molecules bond with magnesium ions. Long story short, it keeps the ingredients in the capsule from sticking together and helps get the supplement past your stomach for better absorption. My bottle arrived double-sealed, with a 26-month expiration date. If taken as directed, two pills per day, there is a 60-day supply. These have a very strong odor that it is due to the “sulfur that is part of NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine) — this is normal.” They are easy to swallow and I feel they are a quality product. My only concerns are there is no third part testing and that for 1000mg per serving, it is a bit overpriced at about $0.42 per serving. I will definitely keep them on my list and compare prices when I order.
