    6/5 and I don’t say that lightly.

    I have used l-tyrosine for the past five years for primarily medical neurological reasons. My natural dopamine levels are extremely low. I have gone through many brands, and this brand has been by far not only the best value but the best quality and absorbency (second place is GNC, followed by Jarrow). Having it as a powder is really great, I put one little scoop into my water bottle every time I fill it up. Not only does it cost me less, but I feel much better, and I’ve even noticed that I have practically boundless mental energy. I just did computer programming for 3 days straight and I’m not even mentally tired at all. As someone with chronic fatigue, that’s unheard of for me.

    First time I have tried L-tyrosine so I have nothing to compare it with, but the product seems to be just fine, I would buy it again. This amount will last a long time.

    This is excellent! At first I had been taking this for a few weeks and it did absolutely nothing for me. I was ready to chuck it in the garbage. It’s disappointing to try certain supplements that are supposed to assist with particular issues only to find it does nothing. One morning I decided to try a bit more than the recommended scooper dose. Instead I used slightly less of a teaspoon. Within about 20 minutes after that I finally noticed the effects that Tyrosine is intended to help with. Suddenly I was no longer lethargic, tired, and unmotivated. Something shifted in me where I was growing mentally alert and focused, as well as energetic enough to go for a jog and lift some weights. The extra positive side effect was it also seemed to increase my libido. This is likely due to the dopamine rise which also raises libido by the way. Those effects lasted for hours and a good chunk of the day. This wasn’t a jittery alertness and energy the way you might get with too much caffeine. It’s hard to explain, it was just a sudden mind awakening where I was suddenly alive, happy instead of moody, and ready to get to work, instead of crashing on the floor after sleeping. So yeah, this stuff definitely works for me, but I have to take more than the one scoop to notice any changes.

    I did check to see how many scoops would fit in the teaspoon so I can gauge how many milligrams of the stuff I was taking, and it was three scoops. Each scoop is 500 mg, so that’s 1500 mg. Did some research on that and there was no info on that being dangerous. In fact, it was recommending more spread out through the day if needed, but taken earlier in the day as this could keep you awake like caffeine would if you take it too late. I’ve had no negative side effects to report at all.

    The other thing to note was I noticed the general effects were stronger when I take it at least an hour after eating. It does say on the jar it’s best used on an empty stomach. That was true as when I’ve taken it immediately before eating or immediately afterwards, the effects are not as strong.

    I like that this is pharmaceutical grade. Others at this price point typically are not. Buying the powder as opposed to capsules is a money saver. The little scoop included also makes it very easy to take. I take this when I get into a funk to give me a little pick me up in mood. It works very well for me. I do not have a serious depression problem though so if you do please don’t put it off, see a doctor. I know many people on here say they take it based on information from “The Mood Cure” book. It really does work well. I used to get headaches when I would try to take tyrosine but then read it could be that some people don’t have as much B vitamins to metabolize it so I took Super B with the tyrosine and that worked like a charm. I also take taurine on a regular basis now to to help prevent my headaches so that may also be why I have no problem taking tyrosine anymore. Everyone is different, this works for me..

  5. Never Too Old To Learn

    I am a vegetarian, and have been for about 25 years. My son recommended that I start taking several amino acids. Some of the amino acids are mostly found in meat, or in food items I don’t regularly eat. For a comparison, there is about 60 mg of Tyrosine in beans and lentils, and about 1100 mg of Tyrosine in steak. I take this powdered Tyrosine in plain water in the mornings when I wake up (at least 1/2 hour before breakfast), along with some other powdered amino acids I am taking now. I have used several NutriBio products; their products are high quality, and taste good. I highly recommend this NutriBio Tyrosine. I have so much more energy and can think more clearly. The powder is economical and that’s one more supplement I take without the capsule or all those additives. It’s a really tiny scoop for the recommended 500 mg serving.

    I’ve been using another brand but…this works better. I’ve been using L Tyrosine for years!! This is a very good brand at a very good price. The scoop really helps!! I used to eyeball my dose before with the previous brand. Get it! You won’t regret it!! Unless you get cluster headaches apparently… they can trigger them. One of my residents doctor friend, was loving the stuff… sleep deprived. Triggered these headaches it took him forever to get over it. He probably took to much too!! He loooooved it!! Enjoy

    I can’t tell if it’s doing much, even at double the dose, it’s possible I just have a tolerance to L-Tyrosine after taking it for over a year. But I can’t tell any specific effects from this powder. The pills from Nutricost and Now seems to work better for me but again, that could just be built up tolerance
