I’ve been waiting to receive this and when I opened package, the glass bottle was shattered. It’s gonna be another week before I can get my son what he needs for his digestive issues. The package does not indicate it’s fragile.

After toxic mold exposure, I have had lots of gut issues. I’ve tried just about everything out there including HCl+betaine. Nothing would seem to help. I was having diarrhea or loose stools. My sormach has calmed down after getting out of mold but after a exposures, it flared again. So back to the drawing board. I decided to try HCl again. Relief in 2 days just by doing the HCl challenge. My stools were normal within 2-3 days!!! I’m so happy something has FINALLY worked.
Now the question remained why did the previous HCl not work? I think I found the culprit. The previous HCl+betaine I tried was made from … MOLD! I’m incredibly sensitive to anything mold because of my toxic mold exposure. Apparently, pepsin is one supp like to make from aspergillus (type of mold) among other ones. Anyways, I think that’s the culprit.
I also had tried ACV in pill and with the mother and bitters for HCl. All of them caused issues and didn’t helped. I’ve concluded the possible explanation for this is they are causing histamine reactions. I also have histamine intolerance. Well, I actually ran out of DAO enzyme that I take religiously for histamine after only a week on this HCl. I’m pretty sure it’s helping my histamine intolerance in a very short time. I’m not bold enough to go off of DAO just yet but I will try soon.
My doc is also about to put me on antifungals for colonization in the gut. The interesting thing is low stomach acid can set you up for SIBO and SIFO. I’m curious if this worked so quickly for me after struggling for so long how it will do long term.
I would like to add, make sure you take enough protein with this!!! I did the HCl challenges to find my dose. Then I started adding to every meal with protein. Well, I found out hard way not to take this with my breakfast as I don’t eat enough protein in the morning. You want to have at least 15g of protein per meal. Some sources say 20g. Oh and if you feel just a tad of anything on the HCl challenge, 1 pill less if your dose. I felt a very subtle feeling but not like I had heard. It almost just felt like my stomach digesting was all. Well I wasn’t 100% sure if this was the feeling everyone was talking about. It only last for like 30 secs and barely noticed anything. So next day I increased again. I got the diaherrea of death. It was really bad. It almost felt like food poisoning plus a warning sensation, and I immediately diluted with baking soda. So make sure you read everything and follow directions when doing HCl challenge for dosing. Some HCl challenges don’t have all the info and leave out vital information. The best instructions I found for it was the healthy gut guy on HCl.
That all being said, game changer for me! This brand is a good quality and only one that’s helped me for HCl. And works wonderful as long as you dose correctly.
