Vitamin B2, also called riboflavin, is one of 8 B vitamins. All B vitamins help the body to convert food (carbohydrates) into fuel (glucose), which is used to produce energy. These B vitamins, often referred to as B-complex vitamins, also help the body metabolize fats and protein. B complex vitamins are necessary for a healthy liver, skin, hair, and eyes. They also help the nervous system function properly. All B vitamins are water soluble, meaning the body does not store them.
Antioxidants, such as riboflavin, can fight free radicals and may reduce or help prevent some of the damage they cause. Riboflavin is also needed to help the body change vitamin B6 and folate into forms it can use. It is also important for growth and red blood cell production.
In addition to producing energy for the body, riboflavin works as an antioxidant, fighting damaging particles in the body known as free radicals. Free radicals can damage cells and DNA, and may contribute to the aging process, as well as the development of a number of health conditions, such as heart disease and cancer. This is a review of Amazing Formulas Riboflavin 100mg Capsules. It seems OK, so far.
I got myself a bottle of Amazing Formulas Riboflavin 100mg capsules (Vitamin B-2 to those who are unfamiliar with this vitamin). I have been on much higher riboflavin 400mg doses in the past (for migraines) with spotty results. But monster doses of this vitamin are not what I need, so a 100mg version is a good fit.
There is a downer or two… there was some trace of yellow powder in the bottle, which is a surefire sign of a leaky or broken capsule. No biggie, however.
There are certainly no shortage of vitamin manufacturers in this country; whether or not Amazing Formulas is one of the reputable ones or not, well, we’ll probably never know for sure. But so far I have had no issues with their riboflavin. Here’s wishing for better days ahead.

Riboflavin is one of the B vitamins. It can be hard to get enough of from just food. At larger doses it can have different therapeutic effects on the body, such as increasing energy production. I have been taken 100 mg riboflavin for many years, and it definitely helps me. I dose each B vitamin separately instead of taking a multivitamin. Amazing Formula brand does use a couple of fillers in this capsule, which is not ideal. But the capsule is easy to swallow and the product is a good value for money. Plus I appreciate very much that the manufacturer states that their products are tested for quality and made in the USA in a GMP facility. I always prefer brands who do that. So in my opinion overall this is a very good product at a very good price.

So far so good. I can’t really notice a difference in how I feel (like with most vitamins). Packaging was good.

These seem like standard capsules. I appreciate the attention to things like gluten-free. I didn’t notice a smell or flavor to them. What I did notice was a yellow-orange powder residue all over the inside of the bottle and the cotton padding. I assume this is from a capsule that broke open, but I emptied all the pills out but didn’t find a broken/ruptured capsule.

These are nice! I like the quality packaging and very well sealed bottle on arrival. They have no gross aftertaste and haven’t caused me any heartburn like many supplements do.
