According to one well known YouTube creator, adults need a lot of potassium bicarbonate per day (over 4000mg), especially important when following a keto type diet. In the past, potassium supplement producers were held to providing a tiny amount of potassium (3 mg) per serving. This large bottle from Vitamatic is packed with a whopping 240 capsules, containing 1020 mg per 2 capsule serving. That’s a little closer to the body’s actual requirement of around 4 grams.
This order arrived in secure packaging, and I noted no bad odors or negative side effects from taking the supplement.

This is a good potassium supplement. It’s easy to swallow and I’ve had no problems taking them. I recommend these.

Potassium bicarbonate works much like sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) in calming my acid indigestion by creating a more alkaline environment… but in lieu of sodium, potassium is used. For those who already need to take a potassium supplement (per bloodwork), potassium bicarbonate is a bioavailable form of potassium that addresses 2 concerns in one pill. In powder form, this would not be pleasant to take, but in these capsules, it goes down smoothly with no detectable taste or smell. I’m really pleased to find this value sized bottle from Vitamatic. The bottle came well sealed, all pills were intact, and this meets my potassium needs in one capsule.

Just the supplement I was looking for. Goes down as smoothly as any other capsule. Cancel however I was concerned because as soon as I open the bottle, one of the first capsules to pour out under my hand is entirely empty and looks cracked. I haven’t emptied out the rest to find out if there is supplement powder in the bottom of the bottle. I suppose it could’ve happened before it was ever added to the bottle because things don’t look too dusty. If you suffer from Charlie horses consider consuming extra potassium because sometimes the lack of that causes the issue.

Recently my bloodwork came back with a potassium deficiency so I’ve been looking into natural vitamins vs prescriptions. This has 1020mg which is more than most liquids I’ve tried. Expiration date is September of 2026 and there are 240 capsules to cover 120 days. This is a great value for the money. The product seems to be of good quality. I’ll update once I go for my next round of bloodwork to see if the improvement happened.

This supplement is easy to incorporate into my dietary routine, it’s also well tolerated, and offers many health benefits. I opted to supplement my diet with potassium because I was recently diagnosed with critically low potassium. I didn’t realize it nor understand the important of this mineral.
Potassium supports heart (muscle) function, nerves, brain function, bone health and so much more. As I age, I am beginning to see and experience the impact that nutrition has on my overall health.
