I was surprised by the very nice, quality packaging that these came in. I love a supplement in a glass bottle. The manufacture date was a few months prior to receipt, which is awesome because that means its fresh product that hasn’t been sitting on a shelf for too long. The pills aren’t too big and are easy to swallow. I haven’t noticed any upset stomach after taking them. I have been taking them with food and plenty of water. I’m excited to see the long-term benefits with continued use.

Rhea Bovine Colostrum Supplement is a good choice of supplements for this cold and flu season because colostrum is scientifically proven to strengthen one’s immune system.
This Rhea brand is not as strong as other Colostrum supplements I have taken ,nevertheless the potency is fine for me.
Not only is colostrum good for your immune system it helps me build lean muscle ,I find this Rhea brand at this potency as good for me as other brands I have taken that have a higher potency and cost less.
I make note of the fact that the product description say’s for “Women” maybe thats why the potency is lower, 1000 mg of colostrum per 2 capsule daily dosage.

This is bottle of 60 capsules that will last a month. The bottle comes really well packaged in a sturdy box. The supplement contains bovine colostrum and black pepper to help increase absorption. The capsules are an easy way to get colostrum. No chalky powders. I like that it is made in the USA and glyphosate free!

Just like ‘staging’ a home will often significantly improve its saleability, the amber glass bottle nestled in an impressive looking box immediately creates the illusion of highest quality/value. But is there actual proof for numerous claims and statements made, or are they instead banking on our automatically accepting each as “proven fact” without verifying it for ourselves?
While there are others, outlandish claims made on their website include: “By bolstering your natural barriers, it FORMS A TIGHT SEAL, PREVENTING harmful particles from penetrating into your bloodstream.” What the hey? To my knowledge, such is not possible for any substance currently known to man or most of us could be in perfect health simply by consuming it. Also prominently displayed are claims of 95%, 98% and 92% customer experience results for various outcomes, and they even claim that offers *1,000+ Health Benefits* but, where are the documented studies or data by which to actually prove such outrageous claims?
Due to the prohibitively high cost of building, maintaining, and operating such a facility, the vast majority of colostrum products and other types of dietary supplements sold are produced and brand labeled by a ‘private label’ or ‘contract’ manufacturer (which may be located in the US or abroad). The companies which make Trucolostrum® and BioPerine® are in the United States.
There are *numerous* consequential inconsistencies, outrageous claims made and downright conundrums for this product written here and, in their webpage, and so based on the below findings it can reasonably be assumed that this company, like nearly all colostrum vendors really don’t know much more about it than they’ll have zero R&D costs, and it virtually sells itself because it is enormously popular. As expected, we find the consumer preferred, but unregulated and unverifiable claims of “Grass-Fed” and “First Milking” in the listing and on their website, but oddly neither appear on the product itself. Their website is conflicting as in once place it says, “Harvested within the *first 24 hours* after bovines give birth” but elsewhere it says “The *first 6 hours* following birth”. There is a HUGE difference in active nutrient levels between 6- and 24-hour collection times *so which is it*? They state, “Selecting UNFILTERED, first-milking colostrum guarantees optimal supplementation benefits.” But all colostrum processed for human consumption must to go through filtration, and the Trucolostrum® website confirms that this is their process.
While we don’t know which version is used by Rhea, the Trucolostrum® site shows that they produce 5 human grade colostrum products and the COA’s posted there show that they vary in IgG percentage from 14% to a maximum of 25% and the fat content ranges from only 2% in their “skim” products, to 10% in their “whole” product offerings.
Even so, in keeping with the “dietary fat is bad for you” fad, the Rhea site states that the product contains NO fat but *undenatured/non processed* colostrum is naturally around 50% fat, and is vital to both its absorbability and bio functionality in the human body; its fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) attach to the surface of the fat particles, colostrum fat contains several beneficial unsaturated fatty acids, natural hormones are bound to its fat particles, fat protects the colostrum during processing and during the digestive process as it protects essential components from stomach acids.
Also stated there is that it contains NO binders, fillers, or anti-caking agents but as is disclosed, they add 6 mg of magnesium stearate per serving as well as Silicon Dioxide to prevent the colostrum in the capsules from clumping. In addition, while it is not disclosed on the supplement facts panel or their website, 2 photos on the Amazon listing clearly state that “Protein Stearate” is an ingredient and *claim* that it supports muscle maintenance and cellular repair. But, per a bit of study, this is a type of saturated fat which is used in the food/dietary supplement industries, which acts as lubricants, emulsifiers, stabilizers, and *anti-caking agents*.
I could find no documented studies which remotely indicate that the addition of BioPerine® enhances colostrum’s activity in the human body in any way. So, to me its inclusion seems to be a ‘gimmicky’ marketing attempt by which they hope to ‘set themselves above’ their competition in the minds of the consumer because it is well known for enhancing the bioavailability of some entirely different substances, such as Turmeric.
Notably targeting strong sales in the ‘for woman’ category, they claim there are “5 reasons why Rhea Essentials Colostrum outperforms ALL weight loss supplements” and imply that the same is true when comparing Rhea Colostrum to weight loss injectables. Without making significant changes to our diet, taking 2 capsules of this product per day will not and cannot cause pounds to vanish. Yet, charts on their site absolutely imply that by doing so one can expect to measurably reduce food cravings *after 3 months of Colostrum intake*, and yet another depicts weigh reduction *by week* for a loss of 19 lbs. in the first month (along with the usual tiny print disclaimer that results can vary) …
I opened several capsules so I could taste the powder, and while it does faintly taste like colostrum, the flavor of the black pepper overwhelms it. In my opinion this product is a very basic commercially produced colostrum which is ‘dressed to impress.’ And all things considered; I will stay with “Cowabunga” brand colostrum which is also available on Amazon.

This colostrum supplement by Rhea is really well made. It comes in a dark glass bottle in a nice box but I’m not sure why it’s only for women, I think men would benefit from it as well. It’s supposed to help with gut health/digestion and reduce inflammation (among other things) so those are the benefits I’m mostly interested in. I’ve only been taking them a week now and they’ve been working well with no side effects. I like that these come in capsule form, I’ve taken colostrum before in powder form and chewable tablet form and I much prefer capsules even though this seems to be less potent. I haven’t noticed any negative side effects so far and will update my review if anything changes!

Ordered this colostrum supplement for help with my digestive health as I’ve been reading a lot about this purpose. The bottle is a beautiful amber glass and came in a protective box. We’re typically at the end of the delivery routes so broken bottles can be an issue sometimes. I’ve taken about a week’s worth of the supplement so far and no upset stomach or nausea. I also drink kombucha and eat fermented foods to help so it’s a little difficult to know what exactly which item is benefiting. For this reason, I try to change one thing at a time when necessary so I’ll know what to associate any effects to.
