I usually keep a gut health supplement in my supplement routine. For the most part, I can’t tell a significant difference in quality between them. If the ingredients are roughly the same, My body’s response to them is usually the same as well. This supplement is just as good as any of the others that I’ve. I definitely do better on it than when I don’t take any gut health supplement at all, but otherwise, It seems to just be on par with other gut support supplements that I’ve tried.

It is definitely one of those higher quality products that has high bio availability. It just felt like a crafted supplement and that’s something that lacks in a lot of companies. I appreciate it. Now this is just me, but I get concerned over supplements that are not inner sealed. The product arrived in a heavy jar, capped with a green seal band over the cap. The green seal was no more than tape. Once I opended the screw cap, I was immediately aware that there was no inner seal to the product.
I am not going to use this product due to the missing inner seal. To me, if you are producing a supplemental product, it is important for quality control. No inner seal is a quality control issue. Again, the screw lid did have a seal. For some, that may be enough – but not for me. Product not used.

I wasnt sure what to expect from this because I normally take collagen for joint and connective tissue reasons. This is also a much more expensive collagen product than what I normally order.
So what’s different? Well, it’s a bit unique in my experience. It’s a bit thick, probably thanks to the pectin, and has a very mild vanilla flavor. There are some other ingredients that I’ve never seen combined in this way, and to be honest I don’t know how they benefit the gut (aside from glutamine which is commonly understood).
I found this weirdly soothing. Weirdly maybe because I usually don’t observe any short term effects from collagen, but also because my stomach (etc) isn’t used to being doted on this way. But it is nice.
It comes in a glass bottle which is very slightly padded in a webbed paper wrap. Unfortunately that was the only padding inside of an Amazon plastic bag, and when the heavy bottle dropped on my stone doorstep it broke the plastic cap. The glass was okay. But I think this package needs considerably more padding than that, especially if the warehouse decides to package it this way.

I was initially excited to try The Nue Co.’s Collagen Gut Barrier+ due to its eco-friendly packaging in a glass bottle, which aligns with my efforts to reduce plastic use.
However, my enthusiasm was short-lived. Upon opening the bottle, I was surprised to find that there was no measuring spoon included, making it difficult to accurately gauge the serving size. This oversight seems like a significant oversight for a dietary supplement.
Furthermore, I found that the collagen powder didn’t dissolve well in liquid, consistently leaving behind clumps. This made it unpleasant to consume.
Most disappointingly, after using the product, I didn’t experience any noticeable positive effects on my gut health. Given the product’s claims and price point, I had expected more.

This arrives in a heavy amber-colored bottle with a tape sealing it shut. It smells faintly of vanilla when opening the jar. I can’t do milk, and I’m watching carbs, so I did attempt to use water, which was a mistake. It does not dissolve well just by dumping some into a glass of water. I had to use a milk frother to stir and disperse it well. Flavor-wise, it’s not bad, but it wasn’t great with just water. I’d think if you had a milk, a coffee with creamer or even a protein shake, it would blend much better. It suggests using as an additive to a smoothie. It did not cause any stomach upset, which I am prone to, and have had issues with other pre or probiotic products.

My wife and I decided to try this collagen about a month ago, mainly because we’ve both been focusing on gut health and supporting our skin as we age. The blend of hydrolyzed collagen peptides and added hyaluronic acid and prebiotics seemed ideal, especially as it’s formulated for sensitive stomachs. We used it daily for 10 days , and we’re really pleased with it! It’s was gentle on our stomachs and has definitely helped with digestion, we haven’t noticed major skin changes yet, but it’s only was less than a month, but we’re optimistic, given the subtle improvements in skin hydration and overall gut health that taking it during longer periods of time it would perform even better. One of the best features of this supplement is the formulation, the hydrolyzed collagen peptides feel high quality and are more easily absorbed, making this product gentle yet effective, we also love that it’s free from sugar, gluten, and additives, which is good for anyone with dietary sensitivities or health conscious individuals, the addition of prebiotics for gut health and hyaluronic acid for skin support really makes it feel like a comprehensive wellness product. If there’s one thing we’d like to see improved, it would be the price point, at $52 per jar, it’s a bit on the higher end, especially since it’s a daily use product and our case in particular when both are using it the jar doesn’t last long, however, we feel the quality somewhat justifies the price.
