My orthopedist recommended 1000 mg of Curcumin a day for an arthritic knee. This is the only brand that doesn’t irritate my stomach. And, it works great to keep down my knee inflammation!

This is the best Curcumin on the market. It is a solid tablet that dissolves in your intestines where you will reap the best benefits. I tried Pro-Health Longvida Optimized Curcumin and I could not take it. Their capsules are filled with a powder that, for me, came back up after awhile and caused coughing fits. Curcumin works best and is assimilated better if dissolved in your intestines. This product delivers!

The reason I take enteric coated curcumin is i have severe reflux and the pepper analogue added to most preparations causes severe heartburn. I have taken this brand for 8-10 years because the enteric coating worked well and it did not cause heartburn. The last resupply I got about a month or two ago is different. The pills are a slightly different size and, despite taking them in exactly the same way, they cause sever heartburn. Discontinuing them relieves the symptom and taking them again results in marked discomfort. My conclusion is that they have changed something about the pills, most likely the enteric coating, although they could have changed the pepper analogue in some way or even something else in the way the pill is made.
I can’t take them anymore. I wrote to the company asking about my observations and have not received a reply in 10 days. Can’t recommend this product any more for its intended audience: people who need enteric coating.
