This has high protection along with a nice tint. Hard to find in stores- I first saw it in a surf shop on Kauai. Price was better online and delivery was fast. Great for water sports. Very easy to apply.

I got this sunscreen stick because I wanted something I could easily reapply on my face while on vacation in Italy. I did a lot of water sports and spent a lot of time in the sun. I usually wear makeup but it was really nice not having to worry about looking put together because this sunscreen has light to medium coverage and is buildable.
I don’t burn easily but I think it offered adequate protection. I’m prone to hyperpigmentation and melasma so the tint is a plus for preventing discoloration. It feels nice on the skin and leaves a satin matte finish (I have oily combo skin). I would also wear this for hiking or outdoor sports.

I wanted to keep this in my bag for every day application. The case is nice, opens well and doesn’t seem like it will spill or smear on anything easily. When I applied some to my hand it was so dark! Would work well for others, but not for my fair complexion.

Used this product years ago when it was first released and LOVED it (it was perfectly creamy, I would never get sunburnt, the color was a beautiful lighter tint – I would get compliments all the time!). Seems they’ve changed the product formulation…now the product is super orange-y, ultra-greasy and doesn’t seem to provide real sun protection. Bummer Sun Bum.

This mineral sunscreen is amazing! Sun in is great for my sensitive skin and I love the fact that I don’t get a white tint but still get the benefits of mineral sunscreen on my body. Unscented and non-sticky the face stick gives a hint of color and is easy to apply. Highly recommend if you want a safer sun protection choice

HANDS DOWN THE ABSOLUTE BEST SUNSCREEN EVER. EVER. EVER. IN THE HISTORY OF FOREVER. For 3 years, I struggled with sunblock on my son’s face. No matter what I put on him, his face would turn bright red, sometimes almost even a purplish color, burn, and even blister. This was not caused by the sun, and nothing like a sunburn. He has no known allergies, but it was more like some type of reaction between the different sunblocks (Coppertone, Aveeno, Banana Boat, Water Babies, those Sports sticks, no exaggeration when I say all of them), water, and the sun. It was awful. His poor little eyes would just get so puffy from the reaction, and he was miserable. THEN I FOUND SUN BUM!! Being a nurse, a kinda “earthy” and natural person, and a mom on a mission, I picked it up, read the ingredients, took it the the cash register…. and then put it back due to sticker shock!!! OMG talk about expensive, I about fell over. After 3 more shopping trips that went that same way, I finally decided I would just suck it up and order it off amazon. BEST SUMMER DECISION I MADE (besides our Caribbean vacation of course).
It does leave a soft white film after being applied, but the kids enjoy being called “Ghost Face”, and even better it lets me see when it is wearing off (which is NEVER) and if it needs to be reapplied. Also, it says reapply every 80 minutes like every other sunblock, but GOOD NEWS— It stays on for hours and rarely needs to be reapplied. To give you an idea of how infrequently I am talking about, we live in Texas and today it was a lovely 104 degrees outside. We were at the pool from 11am until 430pm and I didn’t have to reapply it at all. Since purchasing it, I’ve only had to reapply it on the kids once or twice during an entire day at the pool, and that was only because of all the drying off they did when they were eating.
From this point on, I will not put anything else on their faces. We also have the 30spf SunBum lotion which also works wonderfully and smells delis too, but I prefer the spray on kind for convenience purposes.

I gave the Sun Bum 50 tinted stick a shot and it works better then I thought. Some of the other brand come off to fast if you wipe your face, but the Sun Bum stays on. It is a little harder the get on, but once it is on is is great. I will order again.

Normally sun bum is yellow, smells like banana and leaves no marks. The pro version is white and spend hours rubbing in and does not smell like bananas! Very disappointed after using the normal SB!!
