We’ve used Stevita stevia for years. Easy to use and measure.

We quit using sugar years ago and this is what we use for coffee, tea, protein shakes, etc. Once you know how to use it there isn’t an after taste like some products have. Easier to use than pure stevia that I use, but my family like the ease of use of this product.

I thought this was the perfect sweetener for years. Put it in my coffee every morning for many years. Recent scientific studies fount Erythritol the main additive to this stevia product causes severe blood clotting, potential heart attacks, strokes, etc. I do not know about the accuracy of these studies, but several have found the same results. I tossed $200 dollars’ worth in the trash after reading the third study about health risks.

This is the best Stevia I’ve ever purchased. It doesn’t have fillers like so many of them and the sweetness is as good as sugar. It takes very little to sweeten anything. Now that I’m used to it, I think it tastes better than sugar. Makes a wonderful tasting glass of sweet tea and works great on oatmeal. Have purchased before and will again.

I have been using this product for years, and it has helped me lessen my sugar intake, while providing sweetness when I need it. Among other things, I use it in my coffee every morning.

I’ve been using Stevia for about 6 months now. One of the reviewers said she can’t stand the taste in her tea.. I didn’t like this product the first couple of times I tried it, either, but then after about a month of not using it, I tried using LESS of it in my coffee.. That did the trick. I use it every morning now and love it. It’s so much better for you than Equal or Splenda, which give my husband and I both horrible headaches and other side affects.. Stevia has no side affects! Try it. Great for diabetics!!
UPDATE: It’s been 1 1/2 years and I’m still using this product daily. I noticed a lot of posters aren’t sure how to use it correctly. I’ve found this forumula to work when it comes to baking. If you use pure stevia, 1/16 tsp equals 2 tsp of sugar and 1 tsp equals one cup of sugar… pure stevia is really strong.. A little goes a long way.. I don’t use it in coffee, tea, etc because it’s just too strong, but it’s great for baking.. Spoonable stevia is not as sweet, 1/2 tsp equals 2 tsp of sugar and 12 tsp equals one cup of sugar.. This will vary a little according to your tastebuds, so do taste tests and write down what works for you for reference.
I put maybe 1/4 tsp in my coffee in the morning. I love sweet tea, but not the empty calories.. Stevia does not dissolve well in cold liquid, so I take a level spoonful (I use the large spoons that come with silverware sets)and I dissolve the stevia in a about 1/4 cup of very hot water, then add it to my container of sun tea.. Stir it around after you pour it into your tea container and you’ll have great sweet tea without the calories. Course, everyone will have to find the perfect amount to add according to their taste buds, but dissolving the spoonable stevia in hot water before adding it to your container of tea will give you a great way of having sweet tea in the fridge and ready to drink.

I have tried all the sweeteners and found them all wanting except for two – natural cane sugar (preferably semi-processed in the brown-white cubes from France) and Stevita Spoonable Stevia.
Stevita is a tad less satisfying in tea or coffee than the above-mentioned sugar cubes but it more than makes up for it with zero calories and for those of you with a pre-diabetes or full-blown diabetes the Stevia in Stevita does not cause insulin problems unlike many other sweeteners, in fact, it may actually HELP in correcting insulin imbalances! (Please do not read this to mean that this means that Stevia cures or even significantly mitigates the symptoms of pre-diabetes and full diabetes by itself. But it does mean that, along with a doctors’ care and appropriate diet and exercise, it could and probably will help with these conditions. Certainly it will reduce your calorie or artifical substance intake.)
I find Stevita to be best used in *small* amounts when sweetening tea or coffee (it is VERY sweet.) As to using it in baking and cooking, I do not have a lot of experience with this but I can state that in the making of homemade tomato sauce I find it to be as good or better than using honey (for example) to cut the tendency for these sauces and gravies to become acidic or salty. Again, err on the side of caution by not using a portion equivalent in size and sweetness to honey or sugar – use less (you can always sprinkle in a bit more at the end of your sauce/gravy preparation!)
Five stars for Stevita and I would give it more if I could!!!
P.S. CAVEAT: Again I emphasize that I am not posing Stevia or Stevita as a cure or even a partial cure for those people with diabetic or pre-diabetic conditions. But it definitely does not hurt you (unlike for example Splenda/Sucralose), and it may in fact help! And also again, those of you with these conditions need to follow your doctors’ advice and exercise and observe caution in all areas of your food and drink intake. But at the very least – it will help in reducing your calorie count and keep you from ingesting aspartame, sucralose and other artificial and/or processed sugars!
