Cod liver oil is known for its health benefits but can be difficult to take because of the taste and smell. As with many health supplements only time will tell if it actually works. I’ll update this review when I’ve had the chance to take this product first awhile.

I’ve been using Stellar Alaskan Cod Liver Oil for a couple of weeks now, and it’s quickly become a staple in my daily supplement routine. I love that it’s wild-caught and non-GMO certified, which gives me peace of mind knowing I’m getting a high-quality product.
The organic lemon flavor is surprisingly pleasant and makes it easier to take compared to other cod liver oils I’ve tried. I’ve noticed a positive impact on my energy levels, and I feel like my heart and immune health are getting a nice boost. Plus, the addition of Vitamin D is great, especially during the colder months. Overall, it’s a solid product for supporting brain, heart, and immune health!

I love the flavor of lemon and spritz it on green beans, fish or salads. I add a capful of this to one of these foods and I am a happy camper. I know I can drink it straight, but it’s hard for me to do this for some reason so I prefer to add it on to other foods that I usually use lemon flavor on anyway. I have read about the benefits of cod liver oil for years but have never been brave enough to take the oil itself, so this lemon flavored oil makes it easy. I highly recommend this product.

This is a large bottle, and seems to be good quality oil. Good supplement that should last a while.

I love the great quality of this and that it’s from a wild caught source. I didn’t detect any fishy burps afterwards either which is awesome. My only complaint is the lemon flavor is weird for me. Usually, I like lemon flavor but something about this one is a bit off putting to me. Overall, I still take it and it’s not really a big issue. I love the health benefits.

While it taste fine, my concern is that it doesn’t like the omega amounts? DHA, EPA, DPA? I will probably use it as oil for making salad dressing vs using it as a nutritional supplement.

I take fish oil as a part of my daily supplement routine, though I had never seen cod oil come on anything other than a capsule. Now I must admit I was a bit apprehensive, mostly worried if I’d be able to keep it down, assuming to myself it may have a horrible taste but the amount you get for the price is just investable in comparison to gelatin capsules.
Thankfully, the product arrived and it was time to try it. I took one tablespoon and was pleasantly surprised it not only didn’t smell bad or fishy, it tasted lemony and fresh. Surprisingly easy to swallow with almost no traceable fish flavor or odor. It’s there but it’s so faint you’d have to be looking for it to taste it.
Overall I’ve felt fine taking this daily, easy to down on its own, works in smoothies and it’s a fraction of the price of the capsulated forms out there. Cod liver oil used to be cheap, not so much now so this gives you the best bang for your buck.
