The DentaMedica Nutritional Support for Dental Procedures Supplement packs quite a punch! There’s a great list of ingredients in these supplements that combine to form a potent pack of vitamins for general recovery after dental procedures. The amount per serving of each ingredient seems to be pretty standard; not too high or too low for healing and dental health, but as always, be sure to incorporate it carefully if you take other supplements already.
The pills are standard sized and easy to take; however, you will need to take four at a time, which can be problematic. Luckily, they do not produce any odors or aftertastes, which is quite nice! For the price, I’d say this product is well worth all the benefits the ingredients provide.

This seems like a pretty good blend of minerals & high dose vitamins, with a few other antioxidants too. I rated it a 3 though since the ingredients & relative dosing are not dis-similar to my regular high-dose multivitamin, but I only need to take 2 capsules/day of that and this requires 4 similar capsules/day. More importantly, I try to steer away from supplements containing “folic acid” since its already added to SO many foods and my body (and MANY others who don’t even know it) don’t actually process it well if we have a MTHFR gene variant. I usually look for a methylated folate as the B9 instead –I’d much rather this supplement had zero B9 in it rather than 125% DV of Folic Acid. But I mistakenly assumed a high-end supplement would contain a better quality B9.

It’s difficult to tell whether vitamins are working, but these have high quality, nutritionally/dentally important ingredients. The company is based in Florida and has a legitimate website. I find the capsules easy to swallow but I assume you can open them and spill the contents into a beverage if need be. The only thing I don’t like is having to take them twice a day—I don’t always eat two meals or remember to take a second dose.

My dentist recommended this and the mouthwash from the same brand for my dental procedure. I was initially skeptical about why I couldn’t just use the vitamins I already had at home, but he explained this one could help my bone health and maintenance recovery so far. It has many vitamins A, B, D3, K2, beta-carotene, CoQ10, and more. I compared it to my multivitamin and realized this one was different because it has antioxidant vitamins and minerals. It did help my healing, and my dentist was happy with my recovery. He recommended I continue taking it at half the dose. I may do it since I feel it provides better energy levels during the day and helps rest in the evening better than other multivitamins.

This is an intense vitamin and mineral supplement designed to aide in preparing your body for surgery and support it in optimal recovery. It is specifically labeled for major dental procedures, but the combination here can be useful for other surgery recovery, as well. While taking this, you do not need to (nor should you) add any other supplemention, per directions. The suggestion is to start taking this 4-8 weeks prior to surgery, and to continue that you taking this for 2-4 weeks post-op.
The ingredient list is impressive. It is designed to support bone and cell health, as well as your overall well-being. The 168 pill bottle lasts 42 days if taken as directed -4 pills a day (2 with each of 2 meals in a day) -so you’ll need a couple bottles for full supplementation throughout this pre+post surgical period, unless you taper off these.
This vitamin and mineral mix is a bit on the pricey side, but considering it is pre-packaged to have a complete source of what will support your body pre+post surgery without anything that is known to cause issues during surgery or after, it is a convenient “no-worry” formula that can streamline your supplementation intake and hopefully make this stressful time less stressful, while helping your body heal.
