MaryRuth’s is a well known brand and this throat spray is excellent! It has 4 main herbs that are soothing and healing for sore throats and irritated throats as well (like if you are a singer). It’s also vegan, so it has no animal products in it. The best part of the spray is that it’s base is glycerin and not alcohol based, so it doesn’t have that bitter tincture taste you get with non-glycerin based herb throat sprays. I highly recommend this spray, and the bottle is small enough you can tuck it into a backpack or purse.

With colds, flu, and covid making the rounds I like to keep a medicinal throat spray around to use upon first signs of an irritated throat. I like that Mary Ruth’s herbal blend has Marshmallow Root to soothe the throat, Mullein for the lungs, and Thyme and Licorice for their antimicrobial and antiviral properties. The taste is not too strong and it emits a fairly large amount in one spray. I don’t mind the herbal taste and would prefer it if the Thyme was a bit stronger. Overall it is soothing to my throat, and I can feel the herbs doing their work.

I love the benefits of mullein leaf and that was what caught my attention and peaked my interest in this product. It is easy to take by itself or can be mixed with water. I found it easiest to just spray. The taste is not to bad but you can taste that this is an herbal product. Would purchase this product again as it has been very helpful!

This is an excellent product. It has everything you need for your throat. I was having some throat issues and this came in just in time. The taste is mainly honey, but you can taste the licorice. Also has mullein. I just spray twice in my throat and in time, my sore throat is healed. Great product!

This is a natural alternative to the over the counter medicinal sprays. It has a slightly sweet taste without any added sugar. It doesn’t taste great. It’s both sweet and very salty. The box only has instructions for adults.
UPDATE: My kids won’t use it. They say it tastes terrible and there is not an instant relief like over the counter med sprays.

This seems to work pretty well. I’m not a huge fan of the taste but I got used to it after a couple of sprays. It seems to work quickly to alleviate throat pain. It is kind of thin so be sure to aim it well when spraying into your mouth. I like that it has all natural ingredients as opposed to items that I can’t pronounce. I feel comfortable letting my kids use this too when they start to have a sore throat.

If you can get past the strong herbal taste, this is a winner. MaryRuth’s makes amazing products, and this one is no exception. Perfect for throat irritations, or for use when an illness is looming. The bottle is of decent size, especially given the price. Overall another great product from one of my most trusted brands.
