I was looking for a product with benzoyl peroxide which was stronger than the 2% variety yet less harsh than the 10% spot creams — this fit the bill. I wouldn’t say it’s super moisturizing, but it doesn’t leave you feeling dry or tight either, so it strikes a nice balance. As a fairly thick cream, it’s one of those formulas than tends to dry/absorb fairly quickly as you are applying it (or at least it does in the dry climate in which I live). Therefore what I like to do is first apply a little aloe vera (the liquidy variety), mixed with a few drops of my facial serum, then I quickly apply the cream while my face is still slightly moist. This allows me to spread the product more thoroughly, spend a little time massaging it all in, and I’m also able to use less of the cream because a little dab goes a long way when mixed with the moisture from the other products.
By the way, if anyone is interested, the serum I use is called Eva Naturals Skin Clearing Serum. I cannot recommend it enough! I’m in no way affiliated with the product, but when I find something that works I like to pass on the tip. You can find it here on Amazon and it’s quite affordable (about $14). It contains tons of acne-fighting and anti-aging ingredients. I’ve been using it for the past 6 months or more and it’s made a huge difference in my skin! Great for people like me who are beginning to be concerned about anti-aging (I’m 37), but also still struggle with oily and blemish prone skin. I think it pairs nicely with this acne cream.
Anyway, back to the cream…
I enjoy the scent of this because it has that fresh tea tree oil fragrance without being overpowering. You also get a decent amount (2 oz jar) and considering the tiny dab needed for each application, it should last quite a long time. I haven’t noticed any irritation or extreme drying, although I don’t have terribly sensitive skin when it comes to most products. It does keep breakouts at bay and it’s more gentle and soothing than the 10% benzoyl peroxide formulations. All-in-all I really like this cream and it definitely does as advertised. If you’re on the fence I’d recommend giving it a whirl!

I was originally using Dr. Lee aka Dr. Pimple Popper’s SLMD brand of body spray, salicyllic acid. That worked well, but then I came across this, which for the amount and price is actually less expensive, and even MORE effective. I simply spray this and rub in in right after my showers. I wait a few minutes to let my skin completely dry and then I get dressed. Never had any issues with it ruining my clothing, and it doesn’t smell bad at all, almost no scent. Note, I work out a few times a week and sweat from exercise, this is great for preventing and getting rid of any workout pimples.

I am very much liking this product. The back story here is that I’ve always had acne and I’m in my 40’s now, and it had pretty much cleared up with using Proactiv but I was tired of paying their prices and being forced to buy a 3-step program from which I only used 1 of the steps. I switched to a cloth that was doing the trick for me, and then I added a probiotic a few months later. The probiotic did terrible things for my face, so I stopped taking it and when the acne wasn’t clearing up, I looked for something else to try so I didn’t have to buy Proactiv again. That’s when I found this. I’ve used it less than a week and my face is like 85% cleared up already. This product is amazing. You barely need to use any. I have so far just used it once a day, always at night, and then I use a moisturizer on my face to keep it from getting too dry. It smells mostly like tea tree oil but it’s very subtle, especially after you get it rubbed in. I have had no reactions, and my skin is not drying out at all. I highly recommend this product!

This used to have tea tree oil but they switched it to another ingredien. I bought it automatically as a “Buy Again” option thinking it was the same thing. Not as effective for skin treatment as before. Disappointed.

I’ve had acne for years now and I’m always on the hunt for good products. So far this one works well. I have been using it constantly for about a month and a half now.
However I should warn that you should use it gradually (once a day for two weeks then twice a day, if need be) and also use a small amount and spread it thinly over the affected areas. If you do not do this, and you have sensitive skin then drying will occur (as what happened to me when I first started using the product). It really works and keeps my acne in check :). I should also mention that I have oily skin/face so idk if it works as well for people with dry skin/face.
Also if you get a breakout, even a small one, it clears it up quickly and keeps scars on a low/clears them up completely!
Hope it works for you as well as its working for me!
P.S. It has a good amount and if you’re using it in small portions and applying thin layers like I suggested then it should well over 4 months.

I have been using this product for years, and up until now have been very pleased with the results. A couple of months ago when it came back in stock, I bought three bottles. In the past, the bottles arrive with a plastic seal surrounding the entire bottle. These bottles arrived with no seals. The solution smells badly and feels different going on. I’ve been trying to use up the bottles, but this current formula no longer has the same smoothing and clearing affects on my skin. I’m so disappointed because I really enjoyed using this product. Whatever changes the company made need to be reversed.

The formula has changed because this product used to be 2.5% benzoyl peroxide but is now salicylic acid. Bring back the BP please!
