  1. LAM777

It comes in a nice box. Grape flavored. Contains P113 which has not been officially approved by the FDA, so I don’t feel comfortable letting a child use it.

  2. PackAttack

This is a small spray bottle for kids who don’t want to brush their teeth. I can imagine a few different scenarios where this would be appropriate to use. For example, in the car before the child falls asleep and you don’t want to wake them when you arrive home to brush their teeth. This would be a great product for the purpose.

The cons…I am not really sure what P113+ is, and there’s little information related to that product. It appears to be more for skin health, and I am assuming it somehow reduces bacterial growth. The product is from a research park, so I am assuming there is some type of related research associated with the product. If it is actually doing what they claim, I am curious why they don’t link to the research or at least provide an overview of it.

My kids liked the taste of this. Haven’t been using long enough to see a long-term effects. I like that it is fluoride free. I definitely recommend to try it out.

  4. Probopottomus

This is a cute oral spray. I got the grape flavor and it has that classic hint of Tylenol grape taste. The spray contains xylitol which does help with dry mouth. I think this is a great supplement, but does not replace, brushing and flossing.

  5. Trinity

My son likes this and has no problem with the flavor. He does brush his teeth twice a day but I thought this would be good to use after lunch or snacks.
I have had a bad experience with my teeth from when I was young so I want to help my son as much as possible avoid any problems I went through. We all know tooth pain is no fun, and having teeth removed is even worse.
I did not realize this includes xylitol which has been in the news lately for very negative reasons. I think it is more harmful for adults so not a huge concern for kids, but I do have him spit it out (after I spray his teeth ) regardless compared to swallowing the solution.
This also contains P113. So far research has shown this extremely beneficial in streptococcus mutans, a common bacteria in the mouth which is a major contributer to tooth decay. This aggressively stops the growth of bacteria. The FDA has deemed this safe and non irritating even for sensitive teeth.
Overall this spray is a good, portable, beneficial product but nothing is as effective as brushing teeth and using toothpaste. So I would not suggest this as an alternative or replacement to brushing.
This product is made in Taiwan.
I think the quality is good, and honestly this is better than nothing, especially when brushing teeth is not an option.

So, this review is on the OhCare mouth spray for kids. It’s a 15 mL spray, so it’s tiny. It’s supposed to help with oral hygiene, especially for littles who can’t really brush yet. My son absolutely loves this thing; he tries to steal it all the time so he can get extra servings. He’s 17 months old. I can’t really speak to all of the different claims on the packaging in terms of removing particles, but it does make his breath smell sweet and it’s way easier to use than a toothbrush. Although, of course, we also brush his teeth. I would recommend this product and I would, for sure, consider ordering it again.

I try everything that’s not tried and true before the kids, so this is from an adult perspective. It has a pleasant light strawberry flavor, almost too good in that the kids want it too often. It lasted 20+ minutes but was fading over that time. It’s easy to use and sprays a fine mist, perfect size for a toddler or younger kid’s mouth. I can’t say it improved my breath but my mouth felt fresher so hopefully it helped my breath too. But (despite reading it’s 15ml) my first reaction was how small it was, think essential oil bottle size, compare to the cost. So great to start kids learning and for on-the-go, but we’re going to continue with mouthwash when needed and regular brushing, especially as it’s hard to tell if the product is accurate with the claims. I’d like to see this in a bigger size and/or a way to buy a refill to reuse the sprayer.

I wasn’t sure why I was seeing an increase in oral sprays for babies lately, in looking at this spray I read through the website and came across this:

“Baby bottle syndrome can hit babies easily, especially if they regularly go to bed with a bottle of milk or juice. With this spray, you can fight off the decay, rot, and plaque build-up associated with baby bottle syndrome.”

I liked the recommendation to use this gently while your baby is sleeping which makes sense, they finish the bottle, dose off and get a little spritz to protect their little mouths.

According to the webpage this bottle has 200 sprays, if it has at least 50 it works out to be about $0.25 per spray and it goes down from there, with this math it seems to be a fair price.

I tried it first and found the taste to be neutral, it tastes fine in the moment and fades within 15 minutes. I like having this in our little arsenal, anything we can do to bolster gum, tooth and mouth health is appreciated in our household after watching / experiencing issues as we got older with cavities and other fun experiences with the dentists.
