To be honest, even though I’m no stranger to taking omega fatty acid supplements, I had only really been paying attention to the Omega 3 values and how much DHA and EPA the pills contained. I was mostly taking a variety of fish oil pills. However, when I saw this Sports Research brand of Omega 3-6-7-9, I was really intrigued, because I wasn’t sure what all the different fatty acids were or what they did. I had to do some research to learn a little more about these.

To me, this particular formula which is made from things like flaxseed oil, olive oil, borage oil, sea buckthorn fruit oil, etc. appears to offer quite a nice amount of omega fatty acids from a variety of sources. The pills have been easy for me to swallow, and although the serving size is two soft gels, I’ve been starting out with just one a day to see how well I tolerate them. So far, I’ve had no issues with stomach sensitivity or anything like that. Also, there is no fishy aftertaste or experience from these vegan supplements, which is a nice plus for me. For a 90-count bottle which could last 45-days, I think this is a pretty decent value.

I usually do not like taking pills or capsules but I have not see Omega Fatty Acids that come in gummy or liquid form. So I ordered 90 Softgels of Omega 3-6-7-9, 1200 mg of Multi-Spectrum Omega Fatty Acids from the Sports Research Store. The softgels are easy to swallow and I have not had a problem after taste. Sports Research uses a unique blend of oils; Sea Buckthorn, Flaxseeds, Pomegranate Seeds, Olives, Borage, and Sacha Inchi. I take 2 softgels each day and I feel like there might be less inflammation of muscles. Might be too early to tell but so far, adding these softgels to my supplement routine has been pretty easy. I think the Multi-Spectrum Omega Fatty Acids by Sports Research earns 5 stars for quality.

It may sound odd but these are the best smelling Omega oil capsules I have ever had; lemon forward fruit aroma. I compare them to my “name brand” fish oil capsules in terms of Omega 3, etc., and these provide less but also have omega 6, 7, and 9 (but I don’t know if these are as or more desirable than omega-3.

They are smaller than my fish oil pills and easier to swallow. There was no initial aftertaste but there was a pleasant aftertaste later. I did not see the origin of the ingredients (bottle states “domestic and international”) or where it was processed but the bottle states these are made in the USA and third-party tested. The company uses good manufacturing processes (cGMP), and the product is Vegan, non-GMO, and gluten free. are non-GMO certified.

These capsules appear to be a premium product that is also Vegan. The price reflects the premium pedigree at about $0.62 per 2 capsule dose; that’s about 4 times the cost of my “name brand” fish our pills. To me it’s a very good product and being Vegan and a premium product may certainly justify the premium price.

Most Omega supplements only have Omega 3, and occasionally another. This has 3, 6, 7, and 9. All of which have major benefits for the human body. These are also made in the USA. There is some debate on the efficacy of vegan based Omega 3 vs fish oil. From what i have read, the difference is very small. All in all, these seem to be very good.

Easy to swallow, soft gel. Great.

Love that this is vegan so you don’t have to deal with fishy meals or burps like with fish oil based omegas and it’s easier on the tummy. I use the biotin from this brand and love it for stronger hair, nails and better skin, so I was happy to try this blend too! Sea Buckthorn is very good for you so it’s a nice addition along with borage in this formula.

Supplements often leave me wary. I look for confidence indicators that show the company stands behind their products and produces them in a country that is regulated.
Almost all the confidence indicators are present, U.S. Mfg that provides address, email, social, website, even phone number and QR code. Lot/expiry stamped separately on bottom. The container is well labeled with lots of ingredient info, FDA info, and not a lot of proprietary or unrecognizable elements.
Lots of products put tiny little symbols for nonGMO, Gluten free, and Vegan. This is one of the rare ones whose symbols are large enough to include the organization info.
Bonus is the fact these are softgels, not packed capsules or gummies. The orange-colored pills even have a nice little citrus smell.
90 capsules with 2/day recommended is 45 days. The capsules are not small, but not too big, either.
I don’t review efficacy of supplement or beauty products, but will say I took them several times with no ill effects.

I take Omega supplements for heart and brain health. I love that this is an all-in-one supplement with Omega 7 and Sea Hawthorn. Price is a bit high for quantity.
