*Updating this review to 5 stars! Originally I gave it 4 because of how thick it was and was worried about it. However.. now that ive been using it awhile, Ive realized it needs to be shaken ALOT before you use it. That avoids it feeling as thick on your face and the glycerin doesnt sit on top of your skin, it just does what its supposed to and thickens the liquid. Also, it really does help keep my skin moisturized and I feel it is improving how my other lotions absorb into my skin when I use them on top of this. I like it alot, I feel moisturized all day long and my skin even feels plumper and healthier. Thank you!
So far, this has been really nice, goes on smooth, has not irritated my skin in any way. The only thing I do not like about it is that its extremely thick. Seems like there is a TON of glycerin in it, and when I use another product after it, like my lotions or another cream, the thickening agent they use with this feels strange and will glop up and come off. So Im not sure how much of this is actually they Hyaluronic Acid and how much is just filler. I wanted to leave a review of how it is at first, so time will tell. I will update if I have any issues or if I notice improvements with my skin.

I have been looking for a brightening vitamin C serum for the face for some time, reading lots of reviews about the positive effects to sun damaged skin. This product caught my eye due to it’s cruelty free statements and natural ingredients. I’m not totally convinced by this product, for a serum it is very thin, so I do have to use what I believe to be quite a lot on each application. It absorbs nicely into the skin though and I can use it under UV face cream and under night cream without feeling like I have too much product on my skin. I am uncertain if this is rewinding some of the sun damage to my face, but I will continue to use the product in the hope that this can work and I will see some of the skin brightening properties kicking in. For the price and structure of the serum, I can’t give the top marks because I am aware that I am having to use the product quite liberally so it will not last long.

Have only been using this for a week but it’s very nice to use, it absorbes quickly and is non-greasy. Also like that it has an application dropper.

The outside of this bottle has a very cute design. Inside is a thick, cloudy shea butter serum. It has a slight medicinal smell that dissipates very quickly. It goes on a little tacky but eventually it does absorb well and leaves my skin feeling soft.
It is reasonably priced making this a very good value compared to similar products. The expiration date is clearly marked on the bottle – mine is good for about 2 years. I also love that it’s made in the USA and has the leaping bunny symbol on the bottle signifying that it is cruelty free.

This is a thick “serum” that you put on your face with a dropper. The directions (on the box – none on the bottle) say to apply 1 or 2 drops, but I’m sure they mean dropperfuls. I found that a single dropperful is plenty.
When you first smooth the serum over your skin, it feels a little sticky, but it’s absorbed fairly quickly, and leaves your face feeling smooth. When I rinsed my face, it still looked smooth, and felt moisturized.
The box says that it’s “Natural 96%”. While it does include a quite a few natural ingredients, I think that this is just marketing. For me, it makes me wonder about that other 4% of ingredients. They could have said 4% manufactured ingredients, and people would turn away..

So glad to have found this very affordable product! Most of my high-end serums are anti-aging, with all sorts of wonderful acids etc, but sometimes I just want to moisturize and nourish.
I was pleasantly surprised at how thin it is for a product that is 96% shea butter, but it doesn’t disappear into your skin like some serums do. It is a little richer. I recommend using this at night. Layer it between your toner and nighttime moisturizer for a wonderful added boost of healing.

This review is from a 56-year old gal whose skincare routine focuses on 1) hydration; 2) collagen/elastin production and 3) pigmentation issues. I selected this serum because of the arginine – which stimulates collagen production. Of course, the retinol is a bonus as well.
I try to use collagen and peptides in almost every step of my AM/PM routines. So having this as option for a PM eye serum just adds to my anti-aging arsenal. It is very, very thick – so a little goes a long way – especially since you don’t need that much under and around the eyes anyway.
