I haven’t used retinol products in many years after experiencing a chemical burn on my face from it. This retinol serum uses retinol palmitate (8th ingredient…see full ingredients list in my photos), which is a much more gentle form of retinol. This serum didn’t cause any irritation to my skin. The serum has an extremely mild, but pleasant scent. It is not greasy at all. I found it somewhat drying when used without moisturizer; perhaps this is due to the witch hazel (5th ingredient).
I use this serum several nights per week under moisturizer. I think it has helped the overall appearance of my 50+ year old skin, but nothing like the seller’s before and after pictures. I like that this is free of parabens and sulfates. The box & bottle say “Organic Care Cosmetics”; however, there are no organic ingredients in this product according to the label. If you’re looking for a gentle retinol, I would give this a try, but don’t expect any jaw dropping results. I think it is priced fairly at $21.97.

I really wanted to love this more… It was fine it didn’t cause any issue, but I haven’t seen any big difference either. I normally would give a non-helpful item like this 3 stars but because it didn’t cause issue being retinol I bumped it up a star.

I regularly review skin care products and have a base line for my reviewing process.
Firstly I have very dry, sensitive and aging skin.
I tend to prefer oil based products, with a natural scent like lavender, rose, rosemary.
I try to keep my reviews concise but I wanted to share my star ratings as I see them.
5 Stars – Would use every day. Great product, does great things!
4 Stars- Great Product but not for everyday use, 2-3 days per week or spa day special.
3 Stars- Not great, not awful, just ok.
2 Stars- Not good, but not injurious

It’s worth a try for the price. I’m not sure if it’s truly effective at this point, but it doesn’t dry out my skin and leaves it soft and glowing. I also think serums in general with a moisturizer help my make up go on smoother so I like to use them. Nice size bottle with easy application.

As with most beauty products it takes some time to see significant results. I have used an OTC retinol religiously for 15 years. I once purchased a prescription retinol. In all my experience there are a few things I have noticed…yellow creams tend to be more potent and the highest quality of retinol cream on the market is 1%. I was intrigued that this serum claims to have 2.5%. I am unsure if the cream versus serum makes a difference, but I found that worth noting. While I can’t confirm it helps with fine lines as it claims because I have only used it a few weeks and may have some residual effects from the previous brand I used, I can say that it feels nice on. My skin feels soft. It absorbs well. I wear it at night and notice I have a nice glow in the morning, as I find I do with pricier retinols. For the price, it’s worth a try.

The product goes on smoothly and does not leave a sticky residue. I use it after my face mask before bed and it works great. It soaks in fast and I have no problem lying down with it on.

It’s still too early for me to say if I am getting the full benefit from this treatment.
It does feel nice going on, and my skin feels soft and looks glowey the following morning, but I haven’t seen any changes to dark spots or wrinkles after about a months use.
It’s a very nice lightweight serum, definitely way less expensive than other serums I’ve seen. So worth giving a try and seeing if it works for you.

I’ve had a hard time finding serums that I actually like a lot. Maybe it’s because I never saw them growing up. My mother had a whole skin routine, which included lots of lotions and creams but never serums. Since you layer them, it’s always hard to tell what is doing that heavy lifting or giving you the results—the serum, or your moisturizing cream or lotion.
That’s said, the OGC COSMETICS – RETINOL SERUM WITH HYDRATING HYALURONIC ACID FOR WRINKLES AND DARK SPOTS has the two ingredients that have received the most traction with skin care experts. Retinol has certainly stood the test of time. My dermatologist recommended it for me ages ago.
I like this serum because it goes on smooth and is not tacky. It absorbs quickly, with very little waiting time before I can apply moisturizer over it. Best of all, it addresses two of the skin care issues that concern me most.
My skin seems to be improving, and although I can’t say it’s definitely because of this product, I’m convinced it’s having an impact. This is one serum I can recommend.
