I ordered this Sootheez Birthday Cake 25CT Tin Pouch to stock up my medicine supply in advance of cold season. I haven’t had a sore throat yet, but it’s a bit scratchy due to dry air, so I did a test run and found that I got a little relief, probably from the pectin. I was concerned about the “birthday cake” flavor (which did not sound appealing) but it was really just a vaguely sweet, non-specific pleasant taste. I was also confused by the “tin pouch” in the description until I realized that the package actually contained a little tin for carrying a small supply in a purse, pocket, backpack, or glove box. I really like that feature because, for once, someone actually thought about real life uses and made packaging that worked with the actual use scenario. I’ll be keeping the larger pouch at home, and tucking the little tin into my car for on-the-go throat relief all season long.

I really like these! I’m not much of a lozenge person but they taste good and the tin is a convenient way to take a few with you on the go.

I love that it came with a little tin to keep some in my backpack/toiletry bag. The birthday cake flavor is DELICIOUS! I was recently stuck in bed with bronchitis and my throat was sore from coughing so much, so I tried some of these. They didn’t really help relieve anything, but they tasted good. I will try again when I’m feeling sick, maybe my chronic coughing was too much for these to handle! I had to switch to my regular Halls honey drops.

These cough drops come in a resealable bag. There is a tin inside that you can fill up with cough drops to take them on the go. The cough drops taste good. They are sweet and have a subtle fruity flavor. The cough drops feel like they coat my throat somewhat, soothing my sore throat. They are not as effective as your average medicated cough drops but I like that these are more natural and use clean, organic ingredients.

Really good for winter for me but love these kind of candy for normal use also.

They taste more like vanilla than anything else, but it’s a good taste and hits the sweet tooth. Of course, sometimes when you’re sick, it’s hard to taste anything. It feels like it helps soothe the throat, though it’s hard to tell if it does anything more than just sucking on regular hard candy. The included tin is a nice touch but rather unnecessary as the bag is resealable. Overall I definitely like them more than generic cherry or menthol drops but it’s hard to say how effective they really are.

I volunteer outside once a week, and need to talk most of the time. So I like to have a few hard candies on hand to help with the dry throat. I don’t care for the traditional black cherry flavored everything, so it was nice to see a citrus berry flavor in these sootheez. I usually use a gummy type of glycerine throat drop, but these have a lot more flavor to them, which keeps my salivary glands going.
The tin holds about 15 of the drops, there are 25 in the bag. They’re wrapped in a clear cellophane (that’ll make lots of noise if you’re in a quiet theater, be warned). They’re a bit on the expensive side, but if you need gluten free and organic, made in the USA, these are tasty.
