These work well for one-time use, but the lavender scent doesn’t smell great, it smells more like a cheap chemical perfume. The scent is most powerful when you first open the pouch, but it seems to dissipate after several minutes. I’m giving this 4 stars because they work well, but I can’t give it 5 stars because of the smell.

This is absolutely my go-to heating eye mask. It is the first brand I ever bought, however I got them in a brick and mortar store and the prices were SO inflated for a single one. So if you are going to buy this one, buy it here on Amazon for sure. That said, of all the heated eye masks I have tried (which is a lot), this is the one that consistently heats up the best. I don’t think any of the others get as warm as this one. Not too warm or uncomfortable, it heats up to the perfect level. And it heats quickly! The lavender scent itself is nice, but it is definitely overshadowed by a weird chemical type smell. I’m not sure if it is the heating part that causes it or the mask material, or if it’s something about the lavender smell itself, but it is very off-putting. I don’t mind it, because I wear my C-PAP mask with it and can’t smell it at that point, but my husband swears he can smell it through his C-PAP and refuses to use this brand for that reason. If you aren’t too sensitive to smells, I definitely suggest this one as a first choice, because no other one compares to the soothing heat, but if you have a sensitive nose, look elsewhere.
