Wife got these for aiding her immune system with zinc, vitamin b complex and towards acne. It’s a 50/50 with her acne and as for her immune system, it seems to work towards it! Regular consumption for about a month. No noticed significant difference to date, yet. Expect with consistent use combining added Juiced carrots will help maintain vision and potentially enhance recovery.
I’ve healed vision before to 20/15. With renewed nutrition assistance anticipate improvement over time.

I take a selection of vitamins and supplements daily. In deciding to incorporate these into my daily routine, and in order to determine as best I can what the proper supplements and dosages are that I should take, I’ve decided that a good mixed carotenoid supplement is important to include. The guidance I’m relying on, from Eating Well for Optimum Health: The Essential Guide to Food, Diet, and Nutrition among other resources, is that I should include a mixed carotenoid supplement which contains 25,000 IU of beta carotene along with some alpha carotene, lutein, lycopene, and zeaxanthin.
This Solgar Beta Carotene supplement does not include the lycopene but it does include the other recommended ingredients that I mention above, and I decided to try it when this Country Life Carotenoid Complex that I’ve used in the past was temporarily not available from Amazon for a reasonable price.
These softgels are certified gluten-free and do not include any yeast, wheat, gluten, milk. salt, sugar or preservatives, Stated ingredients do include soybean oil for those who are sensitive to soy.
The Country Life supplement mentioned above does provide what seems to me to be a slightly better composition – see my review on its product page which gives the full breakdown of ingredients. I’ve therefore given this Solgar supplement a 4-star rating, whereas I’m giving the Country Life supplement a 5-star rating. To be fair, this Solgar product is slightly less expensive than the Country Life product, at least at today’s prices on Amazon (which can fluctuate widely from day to day, week to week, etc.)
I have used several different Solgar products and as mentioned I have just recently decided to try this Beta Carotene supplement from them. I’ll update this review if I find any other comparison points to add.
