    The jury is out on Glucosamine and how effective it is in use, however, it’s not something I need to take regularly and I don’t. Having said that, I have only bought 2 or 3 bottles in the last 10+ years and only when I’ve had a cartilage issue due to injury and they have been a part of the process during that period.

    This time round I went for the Solgar option as they a) Solgar and b) shellfish free.
    You can swap those positions around, as they are both very important. If a plant can help my knee, I’d rather let that shellfish be a shellfish, than me be selfish 🙂

    I am older now than when I first tried Glucosamine supplementing, and that was because the pain and lack of confidence in the motion (knee at that time) was taking a very long time to recover and it made a difference in a few months, as opposed to the non-supplementing 6 months.

    Having felt a one-off recurrence of that random out of nowhere ‘collapse’ you feel in a normal stride, I bought these and started to take 7 a week, to 5 a week to 3 a week and now every few weeks and not had a problem since.

    If you notice any slight weakness or an ’empty instability’ when you have pivoted, might be worth taking this preventative step, rather than ignore it and blindly encounter an unforgettable step somewhere in the future, that one is definitely not worth the hassle.
