To be able to get DHA from a non-fish oil source is a miracle for me. There is no aftertaste whatsoever. Not after twenty minutes not ever. I probably get enough omega-9 from olive oil. But I’m sure I don’t get enough DHA because I don’t eat fish or take fish oil.
I do not react well to fish oil. If the aftertaste would go away after a while I’d be okay with it. But for me its lasts for hours and hours. Must be something with my digestive system.
I’m so pleased to have found this . . . highly recommend.

These are easy to swallow, small, vegan softgels. They have a faint scent in the bottle that is similar to a hay bale… but I don’t notice it when taking one.
I’ve only been taking these for a few days so can’t be certain of any health effects but DHA has a good health reputation and I’m familiar with the Solaray brand.

First off, these pills smell awful. Like a rancid beach. Individually, though, they’re ok as long as you swallow them quickly, and I haven’t noticed any aftertaste. They’re quite small – I included a photo with one (the red one) next to a standard 500mg acetaminophen tablet (the white one).
I take a dedicated 500mg EPA supplement, and two of these a day are enough DHA for my needs. I’m not a fan of fish oil, so I take the algae stuff where I can get it.
Solaray is a well-known, well-regarded mid-tier supplement brand, although the pricing is usually higher than its peers. At $20.18 for 60 100mg pills, it’s on the higher end for algal DHA from similar quality brands.

I tried other supplements from this brand before and was curious to try the DHA, which I typically take often for its many health benefits. The bottle arrived in perfect condition and had protective plastic on the outside as well as a protective seal on the opening.
There are 60 softgels included, with a serving size of 1 per day. The softgels are small, orangey/brownish in color and easy to swallow. They do not have a smell or taste. I have not experienced side effects taking this product and have felt good taking it. I only started using this bottle recently and am continuing to monitor for changes/improvements. I took off a star because I was surprised that it contains modified corn starch and carageenan.

I am reviewing this SOLARAY DHA Neuromins, Vegan Softgel supplement. Serving size is one softgel daily with a meal and there are 60 servings in the bottle. These have been lab tested for contaminants and come in a 100mg dose. I read that DHA is known as an omega-3 fatty acid which can be good for heart health and can help increase blood flow during mental tasks. As I am getting older I am looking into what supplements can be a good match for me. I am excited to see how this supplement can make me feel over time.

Can never go wrong with solaray products, I always use supplements and I love that I’m adding this to my daily regimen. I can’t say that it works, but I have no doubt that this DHA is accurate since it comes from a reliable brand.

This is a decent DHA supplement, but it has some ingredients which are really unnecessary. First, let me say that I like to take DHA for its anti-inflammatory properties. I eat very little fish, but I do occasionally take fish oil. I like the keep a DHA supplement on hand as a backup. Listed at $21.37 for sixty single gel cap servings, I think the price is a little high. The capsules have no discernible taste or smell. At least, none that I can detect. My main issue is with the ingredients. Why do they feel the need to add modified corn starch and caramel coloring to this supplement. Not to mention “Natural Flavor”, which really could mean anything. I don’t need or want these additives in my supplements.
