I’ve used this since childhood and I’m middle aged now. It has always worked and still works amazing if your someone like me that gets those annoying heat rash itchy bumps from heat and sun. It feels cooling on the skin and relief is pretty much immediate. Depending on how much it itches, you can decide to put more or less. It will leave a little bit if a ashy cast if you have darker skin because of the talc but hey…who cares if you are feeling better? Even the container is the same as it was when I used it almost 40 years ago. Some folks may find it hard to get the powder out as it doesn’t flow smoothly like the Johnson baby powders but you just have to be a little careful in flipping the can upside down right over your skin. Try not to get it on darker clothes though as it also doesn’t dust off as easily as baby powder (with good reason cause it has to stay on skin for relief)

I usually find this product in Chinatown but it has been hard to come by. Glad it is available on Amazon. This is a lifesaver during the hot summer months. Put it on after you shower and towel dry. Back of the neck, back, legs….feels like you are on ice. Aaaah what a relief

I was very excited to use this but the fact it came bended and open on the side due to the can damage is disappointing to see it. I don’t think is safe to even do so who knows how long it’s been like this

If you live in a hot climate: BUY THIS. Summers where I am are getting hotter and hotter (thanks climate change), and I tend to overheat easily, but this stuff SAVED my life this last summer.
If you’ve ever used something like Tiger Balm or menthol based rubs, this is somewhat similar. It gives a prickling cooling sensation where ever placed. (And works best where you get sweaty, as I think that sort of activates it.) A few friends of mine tried it out and it wasn’t for them, but I’ve had more people thank me and say they’re going to buy it themselves than the naysayers.
I love this stuff and will keep buying it as long as they sell it!

As stated in the title, this is a rave review for Snake Brand Prickly Heat Powder from Thailand. For the past few years I have suffered from heat rash on my chest and shoulders when doing hard work in warm weather. In the past I have gotten fair results with Benedryl pray. This year when the mercury hit 80° and I was working on remodeling my house I got a terrible rash from shoulder-to-shoulder across my chest and upper back and spreading onto my neck. Nothing was working, even the Mayo Clinic-recommended anhydrous lanolin. After I read the reviews on this powder I ordered it in slight hope it would do something.
The cooling sensation of the first application was delightful. It felt like something was happening. Within a day the redness began to go and after two days the blisters started to disappear. After a week of twice-daily application there was just a hint of roughness on my shoulders. After three weeks there is no sign of rash or bumps, even though I am still working on the house daily in 90° temps with a lot of sweating. A small application to the nether regions has also eliminated the usual use of Clotrimazole anti-fungal for the occasional jock itch. I couldn’t be happier with a product than I am with this one.
For those wondering, the ingredients listed on the label are: Talc, Kaolin, Camphor 1.4% w/w, Menthol 0.8% w/w, Perfume, Triclocarban 0.2% w/w. No doubt the camphor and menthol are what cause the cool, tingly feeling that lasts for as long as an hour after application.
I think this 150 gram tin will last me for the rest of the year, but I plan to stock up just in case. And for those who care, I’ve been told the can is quite attractive sitting on the shelf in my bathroom.
One additional comment: After posting this review I went to the product page to add more to my wish list. When I purchased this item three weeks ago it was available fro Amazon Prime, but that no longer appears to be the case.
