Do you not like swallowing pills? Do you not like the bitter taste or nasty tasting burps of other prenatal vitamins?! Me too! These are gummy vitamins that taste wonderful! Fruity, but not too sweet. They are jammed packed full of all the great vitamins and supplements you need when you are starting your pregnancy journey!!

I ordered thinking that this doesn’t contain gelatin. However, there are two variants. One is a vegetarian one which does not contain any gelatin. So to my fellow Muslim women, be careful while you order.
To The Smarty pants company: Please make halal gummies.

I LOVE these! I’ve used these for three babies now. The taste is amazing. I could actually stomach these even when I was sick and puking during the first trimester. I love that you only need to eat four. Some gummies have even higher serving sizes. I also love that these are not coated in sugar. These also have great omegas in them, so no need to buy that separately like some prenatals. These also have real folate!! Yes, they eventually stick together, but I just break them up and carry on. No biggie. Wouldn’t trade these for anything.

I did A LOT of research and comparing of products before purchasing these for the first time. I have been using these since I found out I was pregnant at around 6 weeks. I am now 30 weeks, and can attest to how amazing these vitamins are. I wanted a gummy vitamin at first because I was so nauseous and swallowing pills was too difficult. I was hesitant about the taste when ordering these since I saw other reviews say they are too sour. However, I actually enjoy the taste. They taste like a slightly less sweet version of fruit gushers (without the juice inside). The taste for me was just right and did not make my morning sickness worse. I was able to keep these down and didn’t dread taking them. When looking for prenatals, I also did not want anything with a bunch of artificial dyes and ingredients. This doesn’t have any, but does have a high sugar content (6g) that I think is worth the trade off to having a better taste. I will say these are on the pricier side of vitamins, but all vitamins tend to be expensive. It is annoying that I have to rebuy these each month, but you can always use the subscribe and save to save a little bit. Additionally, the SMELL IS BAD. Think plastic + fish. Do NOT stick your nose into the container to smell it, you’ll regret it. Overall, I do enjoy using these vitamins and will continue to do so for the remainder of my pregnancy.

I have Celiac Disease and the MTHFR mutation (double) and have been struggling to find prenatals with Methylated Folate that don’t make me sick, don’t entirely destroy my appetite, and don’t work against other medications I have to take.
My two cents:
•Smell: They’re definitely fruity and can be a little overwhelming if you have a sensitive sense of smell—I do. But they’re not terrible. Not as strong as the Flinstone’s gummies.
•Taste/texture: I had read in reviews that it was chalky and hard to swallow and had a pungent taste—I’m not sure if that’s a different form or if they have changed their formulas since, but I received gummies with a decently pleasant taste. I’m not desperately waiting until the next day to be able to eat more, but they’re good enough. They have a slightly citric-fruity flavor that isn’t terrible and they go down pretty easily.
My Issues:
•I really only have one and it’s that I am EXHAUSTED after taking these. I have been taking them for about two weeks and have undergone some of the most intense, overwhelming exhaustion of my life. My personal life has been a bit emotional and mentally taxing and I am autistic, so it could just be coincidence and my stress levels rising, but I decided to take them overnight last night (after struggling to wake up every morning and struggling to remain awake on the drive to work—when I’m usually awake 20-30 minutes before my alarm and running around like crazy) to see how I would be this morning.
I woke up a lot easier and was able to remain focused. I was able to actually complete my morning routine without struggling. The drive to work was still a little spacey, so I’m going to take them when I get home from work instead of right before bed.
It should be noted, this isn’t an uncommon side effect after a lack of folate in the system. It can be a shock to your body, which I expected.
I don’t have any comments regarding effects on skin, hair, nails, digestion, or anything else yet as it’s only been about two weeks.
