If you are suffering from migraines please give this a try. I went through an 8 month period where I was getting several migraines a month and some of them lasted for days. I tried three different prescriptions for them and even went as far as getting injections of a prescription during one painful bout. Someone told me they had success with Slow mag and at that point I would have tried anything….long story short I’ve been taking two pills a day for the last three months and I notice a huge improvement! I first tried these after a bout of really bad “charley horses”, and they went away. So whenever I get those cramps in the wee hours, I take this supplement for a few days, and it seems to help shorten the cycle of muscle cramps which I get.
The one concern is that some might find the tablets a bit too large. They are discs just under 1/2 inch in diameter, and just under 1/4 inch thick. I don’t have trouble with them, but I’ve watched people who have trouble with the tiniest of pills, and I don’t think they would be able to handle this one. It would be nice if the company had a lower dose in a smaller pill.

I eat low carb, and it took off 181 pounds (and kept my weight down!), put my Type 2 diabetes into total remission, and greatly lengthened my life. I must stay on it. Going back to eating sugar and junk food would do me in, quickly.
One problem I’ve had is leg cramps at night. Recently I got the book (for doctors) “The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living,” by Volek and Phinney. It explains the leg cramps and tells exactly how to take magnesium. It also explains the advantages of Slow Mag over some of the others.
I ordered Slow Mag here, and followed the book’s instructions. It says for 20 days to take three each day, without fail. After that you can try one at a day, and if any of your symptoms return, go to 2 a day. I’m about 10 days into it now, and the leg cramps are gone, so I sleep better. Yippee!
I suspect I’ve had other symptoms, too, but it’s too soon to tell about them. I see some signs, but I’m not sure yet. Anyway, getting rid of those cramps is major! And since low magnesium was causing me leg cramps every night, who knows what else it was doing to me?
