Initially, when I saw snail mucin on my feed, I was a wee bit skeptical of it. To be honest, rubbing snail goo on my face doesn’t sound like a great time to me. But I decided to give it a shot anyway. Naturally, I tend to have dryer skin, and I read that snail mucin can help with that.
After applying this mucin to my face and leaving it on overnight, I woke up to skin that looked very hydrated. The results lasted several days, even after only one application. It is a strange, stringy feeling, but if you can overcome it, I would recommend giving it a shot. That said, there are reports of some having an allergic reaction, so it would be a good idea to do a patch test first before rubbing it all over.

I have never heard of putting snail slime on yourself on purpose, but my daughter convinced me it’s a thing. I do wonder how it was discovered this was good for your face, but I digress… It was way less gross than I anticipated. When I think of snails, I think of slugs and the sticky glue-like slime that you can’t get off of you when you step on one. This is nothing like that. I was a bit wary when I opened the container, but it’s just clear jelly, with no stickiness or smell. It is cool and soothing, and rinses off pretty easily. It made my skin feel nice and hydrated. I was quite surprised and really like the texture of my skin afterwards.

It did not work as intended. I’ve used other brands before and they were much better in moisturizing and softening my skin.

Unlike other snail mucin products, this one you’ll need to wipe off and rinse after. Pretty good and does what I thought it was going to do–hydrate your skin well. It has no smell and seems gentle enough for daily use. I’m a but wary of buying products from manufacturers I do not know anything about–but this one seems to have turned out pretty good. If you’re new to snail mucin stuff, I’d recommend you try out a lesser potent version first–the stickiness/gooiness of the mucin is something you’ll need to get used to. Most folks get a bit grossed out, especially on the fist few applications. The trick is to remember that a little goes a long way. Same for this one!

I have never tried gel masks and it’s a very nice texture and feeling on my skin! Try to put it in fridge and use on a hot day, this is the best feeling and skin soothing 😀 Recommend!

Although there is mint in the ingredients, I can’t smell it. This jelly mask has no scent. It feels cool as I apply it and stays refreshing and cool while I have it on my face. No other sensations or reactions. Directions says leave on for 10-15 minutes. As I leave it on, my face feels tighter and the jelly becomes thin and sticky. During rinsing it feels slimy, but no problem wiping off without leaving any residue. My face feels hydrated and smooth.
