I thought it was a 600mg tablet. It takes 2 to make one serving, they are very chalky and are non returnable. The 4 bottles I bought are 2 months worth at 1200 mg a day. I will have to eat 4 to 6 tablets a day

I got Shiny Leaf Bariatric Calcium Citrate 600 mg Supplement for Bariatric Surgery Patients, 60 Ct Chewable Tablets with Magnesium, Vitamin D3, Natural Flavor, Vegetarian (Strawberry, 1 Month) for a daily use because I have been advised by my physician to take calcium for the usual reasons.
Full disclosure: I am not a bariatric patient. This product is marketed for the use of bariatric patients. But since anyone can take calcium, I thought it would be fine for me to take this product and I still think it is.
These chewable tablets have a very slight fruity scent. They are very easy to chew and practically dissolve in your mouth. They don’t taste great, but they don’t taste terrible either. Yes, they have a slightly chalky texture, but it’s no big deal.
This product would be ideal for someone who has difficulty swallowing traditional pills and capsules regardless of bariatric patient status. Calcium is calcium. These pills also contain vitamin D and magnesium. Check the photos above for ingredient panel, suggested use, and exact tablet size.
In other reviews, some customers complained about receiving broken and crumbled tablets, but I received mine intact. No problems there.
If you need to take calcium supplements and are looking for a non-traditional pill format, you might want to give these a try.

This calcium supplement has a strawberry fruit flavor. These are about the size of Tums, and while they are a little bit chalky/gritty, the taste and texture isn’t unpleasant. It isn’t like candy, but it’s not bad, either. I like these. Being designed for those having had bariatric surgery and difficulty with absorption, these are supposed to be easier for the body to absorb than the typical calcium supplement. When I get labs drawn next, I’ll see if that higher absorption rings true.

I am not post surgery but I am an aging female trying to get good sources of calcium. Calcium citrate is definitely the way to go. I got the strawberry flavor and I’m pleasantly surprised by how much they taste like the milkshake strawberry description. They are easy to chew and swallow, they are a bit gritty, but it’s really hard to imagine not having at least a little bit of this for calcium. I like the way that they are planned and formulated if you are indeed post surgery. I think this is the most enjoyable version of calcium supplementation that I have been able to identify.

These taste like a rolaid/tums/etc. The strawberry flavor is fake, but not offensive. I have to take calcium supplements after having weight loss surgery and these made it easy to get in my daily requirements.

Congratulations. You have figured out how to make the WORST tasting calcium tablets ever. And half of them are broken and crumbled. Unfortunately they are not returnable. Waste of money.

I tried to get them in gummies but had to get chewables. There’s a bit of aftertaste not too bad though but I make sure I take my gummies multivitamins after, It works well.
