I have not used Shilajit before, so this was my first time experiencing the product, and I don’t have anything else to compare it to. I think it would take a while of using it to describe any effects, so I’ll refrain from that in this review.
The packaging was basically as shown: a brown cardboard box with printing, but was sealed by both a clear circle sticker and also a piece of cheap cellophane tape. Inside, I found the jar, the spoon, a white plastic circle, a folded piece of white paper, and a small unsealed paper envelope, plus some kind of natural packing material at the bottom of the box. The tape and paper envelope made me concerned that this was not a new product, but this later appeared to be unfounded. The printing on the box was very small and generally difficult to read. The outer bottom of the box had no printing, so perhaps the printable surface area could be better utilized to increase customer confidence.
The small folded white paper is supposed to be a copy of third party testing, which listed attributes such as the expected color, percent content of fulvic acid, and presence of heavy metals. It’s hard to know if this document actually pertains to the batch that was actually in the box, but the effort shown was promising.
The small paper envelope was very confusing to me at first. It had no seal, just folded a couple of times. Inside were what looked like plant detritus – a seed and two small pieces of bark – both of which had no odor. However, I eventually saw that inside the box there was printed a recipe for a tea drink, and it included cardamom and cinnamon, so I guess that solved the mystery. I’d have preferred if the envelope was labeled in some way.
The jar was fully wrapped in sturdy shrink plastic. The label was on the outside of the plastic, so once the plastic was removed, so was the label. I wanted to have a labeled jar, and fortunately I was able to remove it from the plastic and stick it on the jar. The top and bottom of the jar are also labeled. Upon opening the jar, I found a foil seal, and I couldn’t see or smell anything, so it seemed likely that this was sealed very securely. I then realized the white plastic disc was meant to be used as the intermediate cap. I think this was a nice touch to include.
The foil seal had a lot of resin on it, so I did my best to scrape the resin into the jar. I saved the foil seal to use for my first and maybe second usage, leaving the spoon inside.
I tasted just the tiniest bit of the resin. It’s quite unpleasant on its own. The odor reminds me of something I cannot place – somewhat chemical/petroleum, somewhat organic. I let my cat sniff the jar and he was quite intrigued.
The dark brown resin is quite thick, thicker than molasses, but not thick enough to roll into a ball (as another reviewer stated correctly).

This is a small 15g jar of a good quality shilajit packaged with a little strip of cinnamon bark and a cardamom bean to prepare it the traditional way. That’s a nice extra. I usually take it straight from the spoon, so it’s cool they included a sample of spices to prepare a beverage. It’s enough spice to make a few servings of the drink. A fun bonus.
I’ve tried a variety of shilajit, and find the acceptable quality typically runs about $1/g. This is $1.33/g, so it’s a little extra, but the gift-appropriate packaging and the bonus spice rounds out the value. This shilajit is acceptable quality. A lot of what’s available isn’t. This one is pretty good, above-average as far as acceptable shilajits go. The smell doesn’t have that offensive, hot quality I’ve detected in cheap shilajit. It’s not the coldest on the nose, which I consider most desirable, but it’s crisp, it’s on the more pleasant side. A solid entry.
This is a good size and presentation for including in a gift basket.

I received a package that had been previously opened and then taped shut. The lid on the actual product inside still had a foil seal around it but the overall initial impression was not good and frankly gave it an “ick” factor. I wish I could say that there was a lot that I liked about the product but I cannot. Even the included spoon lacked a hook that would hold on to the side of my coffee cup and kept falling into the bottom for me to fish out. I did not receive any sort of certificate of authenticity or testing as advertised so will not be using the product and cannot recommend it for these reasons. 1/5 stars.

I was prepared for it to taste pretty bad from what I’ve heard and it did indeed taste like a tire. But it’s not inedible, even just by itself. I plan to try the recipe for tea included inside the box. The product looks exactly as described and I like the convenient little spoon.
The jar was nicely sealed with no leakage and it comes with a little plastic topper to put between the jar and the top so it doesn’t go everywhere when you open it. The product box arrived with a piece of Scotch tape holding it closed because the clear sticker just wasn’t holding. So that was a little odd. But the product was intact and I didn’t have any concerns opening and using it.

I was impressed by the Himalayan Shilajit from the 5 Elementum Store. It is beautifully packaged in a small box that creates a good impression. The product is perfectly sealed, far superior to the average shilajit products on the market, and includes an inner lid and a small 500 mg spatula for convenience.
The raw resin is sourced from the Himalayan Mountains at an impressive altitude of 19,200 ft, indicating a Gold-grade quality. The product is highly potent, thick, concentrated, and has the authentic, strong, and admittedly unpleasant taste characteristic of true Shilajit. It is, without a doubt, one of the best Shilajit products I’ve tried.

Nachdem ich schon viel Gutes über Shilajit gehört hatte, wollte ich es doch einmal selbst ausprobieren. Auch wenn es mich etwas Überwindung kostet, Shilajit einzunehmen, fühle ich mich dennoch danach immer sehr fit und präsent. Aber ich muss gestehen, ich reagiere beim Essen sehr auf Gerüche und damit besticht Shilajit naturgemäß nicht. Wenn ich mich aber überwunden habe und es einnehme, fühle ich mich danach angenehm fit und rundum wohl, was also wiederum ein Ansporn für die nächste Einnahme ist.
Tipp: Ich habe festgestellt, dass ich Shilajit in Wasser aufgelöst, vor allem aber zusammen mit “Heidelberger’s 7 Kräuter” am leichtesten einnehmen kann. Das soll keine Werbung oder Gesundheitsberatung sein, aber wer wie ich bitteren Geschmack mag oder gut aushält, für den ist diese Kombination sicher leichter zu trinken als Shilajit pur in Wasser gelöst.
Ich habe Shilajit zwar jetzt einige Zeit ausprobiert und ich kann aber noch nicht sagen, welche Langzeitwirkung es entfalten kann. Das im Anschluss an die Einnahme vorhandene Wohlgefühl empfinde ich als sehr angenehm. Ich habe es nicht als Pusch für sportliche Aktivitäten eingenommen, aber da ich durch Lebensmittelunverträglichkeiten immer wieder tagesabhängige Schwankungen und Flauten habe, fand ich das Gefühl von Fitness und körperlicher und geistiger Präsenz sehr erholsam und angenehm, und führe dieses Wohlgefühl direkt auf Shilajit zurück.
Daher kann ich hier dieses Präparat nur positiv bewerten.

I have been taking Shilajit for a while now and I enjoy the raw form over the gummies and capsule. The raw form does have some drawbacks for those who are on the go and don’t have time to prepare the shilijit in raw form. In this form, you are required to take a pea size spoon from the container and mix it with warm water in order for it to dissolve. The raw form is like a sticky tar that can be messy. I enjoy dissolving this in a green tea. It is very mild and does not have an aftertaste. It is manufactured in a ISO certified factory which upholds high standards. It is worth trying.
