I liked how well this did for my skin. I have really oily skin and this seemed to help rather well in combating that oil without drying my skin way out. The only thing I didn’t like was the orange peel smell it had. It’s not something that would keep me from buying it but I wasn’t a fan of it.

This is a really nice facial cleanser and it has a great scent to it – really energizes you. It’s not quite as thick as other cleansers I’ve used in the past but a little goes a long way in that regard here. It’s overall quite gentle but at the same time leaves your face feeling clean and refreshed.

I like the fact that the product came sealed and it’s a snap- top opening to prevent leakage. This face wash is a very thin, clear gel with a light citrus scent, which I found to be very refreshing. Because the gel was so thin, it was dispensed from the tube quickly with no ideal way to control how much was emptied, as it poured out and became a bit messy. The gel face wash lathered fairly well on my face, but did not eliminate all of the remnants of make up, as it was a smooth gel with no exfoliating properties. It took a few rinses with warm water to take all of the face wash off and I patted my face dry. My face became very tight, as if I had a face mask on, and I had to apply face lotion twice to re-moisturize. I did not notice any difference while using this face wash and I dont feel like my face was as clean as it could’ve been after using.

I am absolutely in love with this microbiome gel facial cleanser! It is so gentle on my skin and leaves it feeling clean, fresh and hydrated. Unlike other cleansers I’ve tried in the past, it doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped or dry. The best part is that it smells amazing too! I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a gentle yet effective cleanser that promotes a healthy microbiome. Definitely a new favorite in my skincare routine! It’s my new go-to foaming cleanser.

They say cleansing the skin is the most important step in any skincare routine. But for something so simple, it can be hard to find a good cleanser that is effective yet gentle. This product is a good contender because it cleans without stripping the skin and it boast a relatively short ingredient list. Who knew xanthan gum, inulin, chicory root and magnesium (amongst others) could be found in a facial cleanser? Any how, this cleansing gel will not only clean your skin, but it will also help brighten it with Vitamin C and the aforementioned chicory root. It also claims to nourish the microbiome of the skin which helps keep everything in balance (aka clear, hydrated skin). I like that it is made in the USA and is part of a collection of similar type products for the face. This cleanser always feels like a treat when I use it.

I ordered ShiKai – Healthy Glow Microbiome Gel Cleanser (4 oz) – Nourishing Facial Cleanser to wash my face. I have sensitive skin so I’m pretty particular with what I use.
The cleanser is a thin “gel” – think, thin liquid hand soap – that comes out pretty quickly. I used less the second time I squeezed some out.
It has a very light orangey scent. It goes on my skin well (using water to wash my face) and leaves it feeling soft; not dried out at all.
I’ve had no reaction to using this product for two days so far and that says a lot. I will update my review if anything changes, but at this time I will say this is a face wash I like and will continue to use.
