    Moisturizes skin without heavy greasy feeling. Good value. I like it is not a pump bottle as allows use to very last drop.

    We love this lotion. It’s the only thing that I’ve found that works on my toddler’s very dry skin. My kids are in and out of our salt water pool all day almost every day in the summer and it has really dried out my youngest daughter’s skin. The Shea Moisture brand baby lotion was no longer effective for her once pool season rolled around so I tried coconut oil to no avail. I had gotten this lotion for myself so I tried it on her skin and it really helped. Now I just buy this for the whole family, it’s a nice smell but neutral and light enough for anyone and gives everyone super soft, moisturized skin. I like everything I’ve tried from this brand with the exception of the shampoo for thick curly hair (it left our hair greasy after a few washes) but this is my favorite of the Shea Moisture products. It’s not too heavy and absorbs quickly but moisturizes better than anything else we’ve tried.

    I rarely write reviews, but this is the best. I have tried everything for my dry skin and have never found anything that works al over, smells great and leaves your skin silky smooth without a greasy feel. Put it on after you shower and towel dry and it’s perfect. Highly recommended.

    This is second in my heart only to coconut oil itself! For that reason, I like to put it in my luggage for trips because coconut oil is too messy for travel. Super creamy, kind of like shea butter. Because of the mild thickness, it’s a little hard to get out at first, because they pack the bottle all the way to the top for the max product, but that goes away after a little while. Comes out thicker than your usual st ives or other cheap-o lotions that you reapply during the day, but applies like butter and absolutely lasts all day. No greasy feeling either, but I apply it a little lighter on my face. Did I mention it smells just as good as the other products in the orange SM line, but not as strong. Scent goes away, and isn’t too strong as to prevent you from wearing your favorite perfumes 🙂

    So I live in the the northern US near Canada it gets very cold, sometimes -40F. With the cold brings dry and sometimes cracked skin, those cracks can get deep and get infected so I want to avoid that! The nice thing is this penetrates and doesn’t just sit on top of the skin waiting to be washed off with the next hand washing. In one week I’ve noticed the change and I find that the crape skin is also disappearing. I don’t need to re-apply the lotion after each hand washing but I still use it at least twice a day.

    The product review:
    So it is very thick. White and not grainy like some raw Shea butter products. If you compare it to some of the high-end products that run twice as much, this is as thick and probably lasts longer, but it is at least equal in quality. Over the last 50 years I’ve tried things ranging from $3 at bath and body works to ones that run $2500, this is so far my favorite. I have to let it sit on my body for a couple of minutes (heat thins it) so that it is easier to spread. It lasts for many hours even with hand washing. It is NOT greasy at all, it isn’t alcohol where it disappears in minutes, but it is going to take some rubbing to get it to pentitrate in. When I first started using it I’d use it every few hours, now I use it in the morning and before bed. There is little to no scent, none noticable to me or my family. I have nothing negative to say about the product itself and it gets an A+ or should be like 10 stars.

    The container:
    The plastic bottle, is the biggest negative. You have to squeeze the bottle to get the thick lotion out and most of the time too much comes out. For my mom who has arthritis the bottle is impossible to squeeze. Also the bottle is smooth so there is nothing to grip. Thus I give the container a big fat “F”; zero stars. I’m not sure when it gets low how you’d get the lotion out! I wish they’d do like Puracy and just put it in a bag and let us use our own containers. I’ve tried to get the lotion out and into another container and it is too thick. I can only get about 1/4 out and then I have to wait before I can squeeze out more.

    I have to give this 5/5 stars. I was looking for a good cruelty free shea butter lotion. The frankincense scent is why I decided to try this one. I’ve always loved that smell. The 1st time I tried it I was surprised at how well it worked and how wonderful it smelled. It’s not an over powering scent. Very pleasant. It works wonderfully. Even after you wash your hands they still feel soft. After 2 days my problem elbows were incredibly moisturized and soft. 100% satisfied with this lotion!!!
