So the balm comes in a cardboard tube which you slightly push up on the bottom, to raise up. I honestly didn’t mind this but you do have to be careful not push too much, otherwise when you put the cap on the balm is smooshed. Not too difficult but something to keep in mind.
I can’t give this less than 5 stars as it not only smells lovely (and lingers hours later), but actually hydrates the skin better than any moisturizer.
I live in an area with harsh winters which can really dry out the skin and feel uncomfortable. This balm is perfect as it goes on so easily without too much mess, and stays on keeping my skin soft.
I don’t find this too oily but I could see how some might as it’s not a traditional moisturizer that absorbs quickly into the skin. It doesn’t stain clothing like oil, but has similar benefits.
Personally I love this body balm. I did check out the website of Ulu Soleil, and it is impressive. This Malaysian company obviously cares about it’s products and customers. They have my support.

Ulu Soleil Moisturizing Balm is already a favorite product for me! The scent is divine, that beachy/
tropical scent that lifts my mood all year round. It is rich in shea butter, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid, and it readily melts into your skin. It leaves a long lasting sheen and deep down moisture as well. I love anything in stick form because I’m always in a hurry! This is the type of product I will grab before going to the gym for a few swipes if my skin is looking dry. It’s the perfect product for legs during shorts season because they always seem to appear dry. I can see myself wanting to take a stick of this balm on vacation as we usually travel to the Caribbean where skin gets parched. I will definitely use this stick balm to the last bit and recommend it to my friends.

I do feel this she butter gives some type of moisture to my skin; however, after applying it, I feel a greasy sensation on my skin. I waited to see if after some time, it would feel soft on my skin but it did not.
Also, the scent is too sweet and strong for my taste that I got a headache. If you like strong and sweet scents, you will like this shea butter. The roll on feature is convenient and not messy.

This is a relatively soft body balm. Expecting it to be firmer, I made a huge mess the first time I used it by pushing it up fairly far and squishing it into my dry knee, only to have it kind of squelch way too much balm out. Well, lesson learned, both of my legs got REALLY hydrated that day.
It is really hydrating, exactly as you’d expect shea butter to feel, so having learned to be more conservative with it, I really like the balm. It has a noticeable but not overpowering vanilla scent.
And I totally respect the effort on the container. It’s all cardboard, so no plastic waste, which is great. You push the bottom up to expose more balm, but do so gently, because it’s hard to get back in if you push it too far. But I’ve definitely caused some breakdown in the top part of the tube just within the first week or so of using it, so I hope the tube lasts until the end of the balm. It definitely could benefit from being made sturdier.

Such a neat product. It really is. Its a balm that is easy to apply. Doesn’t leave skin greasy/sticky. Absorption is fast. Not only does it do a fabulous job of moisturizing, it also heals dry skin and does so quickly. And those results are long lasting. Its packed will a variety of skin loving ingredients, mainly shea butter, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. And I just love the scent. Very tropical. But its not long lasting. It fades quickly. Can be used on all skin types and all ages With continued use, it is supposed to help with elasticity. I’ve not used it long enough to see that result so i cannot comment on it.
I have dry, sensitive skin and have no issues with any of the ingredients.
Ever have one of those push-up sherbet popsicles? That’s what this reminds me of (minus the stick). lol. You push the bottom of the container to raise the balm. Push slowly-you don’t want to raise it too far because its not easy to push the unused balm back in the tube. Another issue with the tube…I wanted to take it with me in my purse a few days ago. But I didn’t trust the cardboard tube to hold up against the heat and humidity we’re experiencing in my area. I was afraid it would turn into a mushy mess being in my purse and the heat. So i wound up not taking it along like I wanted to. I’ll trying taking it with me when the temps cool off and I don’t have to worry about it melting/turning into mush.
I love this minus the tube packaging. (I’m not deducting any stars for my score over the packaging, its not enough of an issue for me to warrant a penalty.) The price is reasonable

I’ve used this for ten days now. It took a couple of days to master just how much pressure it takes to get the right amount out of the cardboard tube. That’s fine, as I love the sustainable container. The box and the container are an elegant ivory color with an embossed copper design. I use this on my hands at bedtime so it can be fully absorbed overnight, and it’s deeply moisturizing.
I like simple, natural products and this body balm is both. I don’t see ingredients described in the product listing here, but from the box there are six: two botanicals (shea butter and meadowfoam), two that our bodies already make (Vitamin E and hyaluronic acid), glycerol behenate, which is plant-derived and FDA-approved not only for cosmetics but for food, and fragrance. If a product isn’t specifically labeled as fragrance-free, I assume fragrance has been added, so I expected this to be scented. Though I prefer fragrance-free, this has a pleasant, light coconut scent.
