If you can stand the strong herbal scent, this is an amazing serum. It’s super lightweight and absorbs really well, delivering an instant moisture boost. I doesn’t make you shiny or greasy. In fact, I feel like it’s controlling my oil production and balancing my face.
I use this as the first step coming out of the shower at night and with good night moisturizer on top (using Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream). The smell is strong but wears after about 30 min and is totally worth bearing with. I appears very pigmented and will likely stain towels or clothes if it comes into direct contact but after going through my skincare routine, I haven’t experienced any issues with color transfer on pillow cases or towels.
Totally in love with this. Can’t recommend it enough as part of a night regimen. I don’t know how anti-aging this is but I love that it’s a huge concoction of beneficial oils that makes my face feel so calm and happy.

The first thing I noticed about this vial of oily serum is the scent. It reminds me of a happy place from my childhood and put me in a good mood before I even applied it. I don’t generally use skin products or makeup, so I have a lot of spots on my skin. I decided to test this by just applying it around my eyes every evening. The photos show the amount of serum left after 10 days of use, and the difference in the skin around my right eye over the same time period. (The close up pic was taken 4/28 and the second was taken 5/8.) The serum does feel oily and stays on top of the skin for at least 10 minutes. I am not allowed to make claims of its effectiveness, so I included the pictures so you can decide for yourself if there has been any change.

This serum is fine. It’s a small size but not too pricy, so they value is about right. It is definitely oil-based but not too oily if you don’t put too much on; the scent is there, not unpleasant, and to me is not overly heavy. The gold dust separates out and settles at the bottom, and it requires pretty hefty shaking to get it evenly distributed throughout the bottle. As such, I have never seen the golden “glow up” effect very much on my skin. It’s nice enough that I will use it up, but probably won’t repurchase.

I’m typically a fan of serums, but it does depend on the formula and texture. Unfortunately, this serum is a bit too oily for me and I don’t feel like it sunk into my skin like I wanted it to. I don’t prefer having a film over my skin, which is what this product did for me, and I am also not a big fan of the scent so this one is a no-go but it might work for you.
