I recently refinished four large kitchen chairs and reupholstered them in large check fabric on each chair seat. To say that cutting out the fabric and stretching the fabric to get four perfect mirror images, was a nightmare, is an understatement. I never want to do this again. Therefore I wanted those seats protected from family thrills and spills. People are inherently messy. I bought this protectant and used it according to the label. It seems to be working great. It was well priced. It did not stain or damage the fabric. It was easy to use. Let each layer dry fully. I sprayed very carefully. If you follow directions it should work well for you.

I used Scotchgard Fabric Water Shield on my couch and throw pillows, and it works AMAZING. I have a white couch, and this product has saved me so many times! Thanks to Scotchgard, I’ve been able to clean hot sauce and chocolate stains so much easier than I ever thought possible.
A quick tip: the smell is really strong when you first spray it, so make sure to open some windows and let it vent for a few hours afterward.
Overall, this is a must-have if you want to protect your furniture and keep it looking fresh and clean. Highly recommend!

Like that it protects furniture, but the smell when applying/after is straight up awful and overpowering. Had windows open, fans going, still bad. I did couch/loveseat. I recommend doing outdoors or in open garage (away from any flame) if possible. The smell is headache/asthma inducing inside, even with air flow.

I purchased the 3M spray water protector mainly for my shoes, sneakers and boots. Any of my suede or nubuck footwear get the spray. It works well, no color damage and it really protects from water damage. My shoes have a longer life span because of this spay. It works for leather and vinyl also.

I’ve used scotchguard for years on everything from shoes , coats, boots and its works every time. I’ve even used it on ski coats for added protection . I’ve never had a problem with it discoloring either . It adds protection and durability to your items . One bottle will go a long way, so a good value for the money . Use light even coats and allow ample time to dry

Used this on my black faux-leather Skechers Chukka boots that didn’t have any water resistance protection like many of their other shoes do. This stuff really works great. Provides a good barrier for water and stains.

I sprayed down my new couch then few weeks later my little nephew was sick and vomited on it. It just beaded up and was easy clean up. Most importantly didn’t stain. Warning it does smell strong when using but I just opened a few windows for few minutes and was fine. I highly recommend!

I use this about a couple times a year on the feral cat houses, outside. Though the material says waterproof, I think the sun is hard on them, and it gives me peace of mind that they’ll remain dry. And they do.
