In order for me to trust a supplement it must be made in the USA in a GMP-certified facility and be third-party lab tested. This HealthLife N-Acetyl L-Cysteine supplement meets my requirements. This supplement is free of GMOs, gluten, yeast, wheat, milk, egg, soy, shellfish, fish, peanut, dairy, artificial colors, artificial flavors, and preservatives. At the suggested serving size of 1 capsule per day, the bottle will last for 120 days. At the current price of $7.99, the price per serving is $0.07 which is very reasonable.
HealthLife has a very basic website and a social media page with no followers and no useful posts. The website does not include an about us section so there is no way to learn about the company. The website offers a contact form for customer assistance and the bottle provides a phone number. The bottle does not include a full address but the Facebook page does. GPS shows that the address is a commercial building though no sign is visible on the building. I am very concerned to see the phone number listed on the Facebook page is an international phone number from Peru. There is a lack of verifiable information for this company and I do not feel comfortable taking their supplements at this time.

I have been taking NAC for several years as recommended by my healthcare provider. This brand hit a lot of marks for me. It is non-gmo, gluten-free, produced in a cGMP facility in the USA, it is third party tested and has only a few other ingredients. They are the vegetarian capsule, rice flour, stearic acid, and magnesium stearate, which, after looking it up, is a salt that is formed when stearate molecules bond with magnesium ions. Long story short, it keeps the ingredients in the capsule from sticking together and helps get the supplement past your stomach for better absorption. My bottle arrived double-sealed. If taken as directed, one pill per day, there is a 120-day supply. These have a mild odor that is due to the “sulfur that is part of NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine) — this is normal.” They are easy to swallow and I feel they are a quality product at a reasonable price at under $10 for 4 month supply.

I take *two* 500–600 mg NAC pills a day (mixing several different brands), because I messed up one week and only took one a day, and I noticed a difference. I tried these exclusively for a week at 2 times a day and noticed no such decline.
The amount per pill is good (600 mg), the bottle indicates they’re made in the US in a GMP-certified facility, and there aren’t weird extra active ingredients they’re trying to throw in. The capsule is vegetable/vegan, but there are inactive ingredients: magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide. Those don’t bother me, but some folks are more opposed to such things than others.
The expiration date on my bottle, 8/27, is about three years out from when I got it, so that’s excellent. At $10 for a 120-capsule bottle, the price is good, too.
This is among my favorite NACs, and I’ve tried a lot. I’m happy to have it in my rotation.

The test for NAC purity is pretty easy—if it smells like my husband’s behind after an evening of Mexican food, it’s the real deal. Which this is.
It’s the typical 600mg dose I see everywhere, but the capsules are a little smaller than others I’ve taken. This is good if you don’t like large capsules. I also like that they haven’t thrown 5 other active ingredients into the supplement like many other manufacturers do. Since I take fairly numerous supplements I need to control exactly how much of what is in my pill box.
For what it’s worth, the stench seems not to be as apparent when I dole out each NAC capsule in my daily pill organizer compartment. But I would not recommend more than a quick sniff of the open bottle!
Overall this seems to be a solid, single-ingredient option for those looking for NAC.

…that is normal for most N acetyl cysteine (NAC) capsules. The taste is pretty neutral.
There was an intact inner styrofoam foil seal & no outer cellophane wrap securing the twist off safety cap.
I received these capsules in mid-September of 2024 & they have a ‘best by’ date of August 2027 stamped on the bottom of the bottle.
There is contact information (customer service phone number & website address plus a QR code) on the bottle, the manufacturer is located in the USA.
So far so good, it’s nice to get 120 capsules or ~ a 4 months supply in a single bottle
