Strong unpleasant odor (spoiled spaghetti & meatballs?), and slight yellowish coloring. My first time taking SAM-e, so I thought this might be usual (until I read reviews by others).
Approximately an hour after taking the capsule, I began experiencing stomach upset, headache, and a feeling of overheating in my head. I began smelling the same unpleasant odor, even though other people said they did not smell it, when I exhaled. I also developed muscle aches.
I did notice a positive increase in sensitivity to other smells through the rest of the day, as I have had a reduced sense of smell for a long time. I also noticed a boost in mental clarity for a few hours.
