This salve is everything it claims. A little goes a long way. Massage it into your skin and the greasiness will disappear in a few minutes. It is the best thing I have found for my feet and hands. I have tried tallow balms before, but the smell was unpleasant. This smells so good! I highly recommend it!

I was so happy to find a tallow salve for so cheap! I love that the ingredient list is VERY small. Just tallow, olive oil, beeswax, honey, and lavender essential oil. Tallow salve/balm is the only moisturizer I can use on my face that doesn’t clog my pores and actually makes my face soft and hydrated. The scent is also not overwhelming, just a delicate hint of lavender. It’s not whipped as the picture may lead you to think, but not a hard salve, so it’s easy to get out and apply.

I purchased this and had a couple of questions regarding it, so I messaged the company. My questions were this: Do you have a product that does not have such an overpowering lavender scent, and is the olive oil you use in your product cold pressed or extra virgin? They never even bothered to respond. I had only tried it twice, but felt the smell and the fact that it felt overly heavy, cloggy, and greasy, were good reasons to return it while I still could. I might have tried it longer, but decided if a manufacture couldn’t care less about their consumer’s questions, that I would try a different company that did.

The product itself is great. What I had a problem with is that this product is in a glass jar inside of a thin cardboard box and this is just put inside a flimsy Amazon mailer. There was no padding and so the product was damaged and the top somehow unscrewed and it leaked out. I was able to save most of it, but they should really put some protective packaging around the glass. Esp when amazon people throw packages on doorsteps.
