I bought these for my child who has a medical condition requiring added salt and electrolytes. They worked well but were too citrusy for his taste. That’s obviously a personal preference and not a failing of the product. They also irritated his stomach a bit, but I suspect that goes back to the citrus flavor. If these were available in non-citrus flavors, they’d be 5 stars for us. As it is, giving 4 since they work well.

We do a lot of HIIT (interval training) and Crossfit type activity in gym as well as run. These are packaged so they fit in your shorts pockets and easily available to get electrolytes before. during and after activities without sugar spikes. The flavors are very acceptable/good and you won’t tire of them unlike some of the fizzy stuff. I basically replaced Endurotytes with these and just reordered. Try them.

Let me start by saying that I didn’t really expect these tablets to work. I bought them for two reasons.
1) My hubby has MS and he gets horrible leg cramps. He’s tried every thing from potassium tablets, pickle juice, mustard, and he takes magnesium daily. Muscle relaxers cause terrible drowsiness. So I thought for the price offered, why not? I assumed this product worked mostly for cramps related to dehydration which is not the case for him. So when it did work, I was thrilled and shocked! He has only used it twice but both times it has worked!
2) If it didn’t work for him, then I planned on trying it on my runs as a fueling method. It’s hot and humid in the south during the summer, and I am unfortunately a gal who looks like I just got out of a shower when I’m finished with a run. I tried it before hubby did when I started feeling blah on a long run. My calf was starting to go into a cramp and I thought I’d test them out. It relieved my cramp and I felt like my energy was better, not so foggy-headed. I tried it again when my calf felt like it wanted to cramp on a trail run. It relieved the cramp and again, I felt better. So now I am a true believer in these things and will not be caught without them in our household.
Taste: I was leery to try a chewable but thought it would work faster. The lemon-lime is not tart, and not overly salty as I expected. It’s more of a sprite or similar flavor of lemon-lime. As for the orange, I can’t comment as I haven’t tried it but hubby likes it. I expect it to be the same, not overly tart or overpoweringly salty.
So as you can see, I recommend them. I like the little packets for running and for hubby to carry easily. But in the future we will probably just buy the bottle and use little snack size bags to carry them.

I used these salt tablets for hikes where there is NO WATER sources to refill . I carry only water on these Sufferfests and food for energy. (Bacon cooked the day before) However, I now carry these salt tabs on all my adventures……i sweat a lot and I was concerned about electrolyte replacement. I don’t want to carry excess liquid such as Gatorade, coconut water, etc,ect,ect because I have to carry all my water!!!!! UGGG, maybe I’m not a disciplined water drinker? I drink water on hikes. A SH load of water!!!! At least 20 lbs extra weight of water , which if you don’t know is 9 liters of water. I carry this and I am Good 😌 , because, as I drink water my pack gets lighter ……..these chewable tablets which I believe taste really good! Dosen’t really matter what flavor you pick , but know that which ever flavor you choose it will be strong initially and fade away as you are walking and drinking water. IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!! Need to be drinking water when taking these tablets…..Lemon-lime, Peach, tarty citrus… they are all good. In fact before knowing about these tabs I carried Yellow Mustard in a container because of leg craps that wanted to take over my legs after hours of hiking, but these salt tabs kept my muscles super happy with no inkling of wanting to cramp up. I still carry my yellow mustard just in case , but so far these salt tablets are Holly Grail. These tablets do make you feel a bit stronger on that insane incline coming up on you. But you need to be drinking water with these tablets . These tablets are concentrated with essential electrolytes needed when you loose fluid with sweating and yes pissing , so take these tablets to keep you trekking on your quest, just make sure you are drinking WATER in between 😀.

I ordered these based on a recommendation from a workout buddy for a GORUCK event. By far the best chewy I’ve used for any fitness event! The flavors were true to the label’s claim…lemon-lime does indeed taste lemony and limey, not chalky at all. Same for the orange. They’re not Skittle-sweet but not so tart they’re unappealing.
These were highly effective for avoiding cramping and for electrolyte replenishment. I did a 12-hour event in 90+ temps with high humidity, so I figured this was a great test and they passed with flying colors. Of course these supplemented my actual water intake during the event, they’re not a hydration replacement so make sure you drink plenty of water as needed also. Would recommend for any endurance event. Put the Gatorade away and grab the SaltStick tabs, much more effective!
