I wasn’t sure what to think of these bags for my first child. My husband and I live in a 900sqft apartment and we really only had space for our son’s crib in our master bedroom (a mini one at that) so we had to find alternatives to what people usually put in their nurseries (changing pad, diaper caddy, closet, etc).
I didn’t think we needed those diaper genie things anyway, it seemed like a waste of money.
I bought these bags to bag a few dirty diapers at a time since he was breastfed. We had no problem with odor what so ever. We kept the little baggie next to the trash can in the kitchen and the scent from the bag protected it.
After breastfeeding for six months I had latching issues with my son and decided not to continue. I began formula as well as solids. Even with the different kind of poop and smell (and it SMELLED) the bags still did it’s job. Granted, we are giving him european formula, and I’ve smelled formula poop from my nephew (2 months older than my son) who is on American formula and I have to say the poops smells different.
My nephew’s poop was so rancid it literally smacked you sideways, but my sons poop was stinky, but nothing that knocks you out. Just giving a little comparison.
But anyway, my sister uses these bags as well and it contains my nephew’s rancid poop as well.
So here I am, with my son now 8 months old. Eating all sorts of foods and drinking formula. I still use the baggies and I stuff about 3-4 diapers in one bag out of convenience (my husband cannot for the life of him pull apart a single bag from the others) and if I have a poopy diaper, I use one bag only for that soiled diaper. If the diaper is just wet, I stuff a few in the bag throughout the day.
We also have valet trash so we utilize that service to take the trash out most days. Even some days we just tie the bags up and dump them in our kitchen trash and I still don’t smell anything.
Great bags, buy them!

If you don’t already use these bags, start. Immediately. They help soooo much with that less-than-lovely dirty diaper smell that compounds inside those useless diaper disposal pails. I don’t care what they tell you about odor control, “here’s a disc that you insert inside the secret compartment in the lid and it will completely eliminate ALL odors for up to blah-blah-blah”. They are lying to you. Always assume they are lying. I drilled holes inside the “secret compartment” for the air freshener in our diaper pail and placed a home-made carbon “bomb” inside of it. That “bomb”, combined with these bags has actually eliminated about 95% of the smell. I’m not talking about one baby, newborn breast-milk poop smell. I have three kids under three and that smell, untreated, is unfathomable. Think Shrek’s outhouse, port-a-potties from the Sturgis Bike Rally, and pig farms combined. That level is just…ugh. But! These little scented bags are heaven-sent. If heaven was Amazon. They’re not over-powering. The scent is clean and almost…powdery. You won’t be choking on fake Canadian lavender or Madagascar vanilla ice cream cone.
Just buy them. Just do it. They work. Even if you think it sounds like a lot of work. If you don’t want whatever room your diaper genie is in to smell like Commerce City, CO, then you’ll just buy them.

I started buying these for diapers. They worked so well, I continued buying for animal waste and other stinky jobs. Bags never broke in my 10+yrs buying.

I have 2 boys. One in diapers and one in pull ups almost potty trained. I threw away my diaper genie a while ago and was full or regret because any time the kids had a #2, it didn’t matter how many bags I used, the smell always came through. I can put one of their diapers in one of these bags and the smell doesn’t come through at all. They are also pretty thick & have a baby powder smell.

This was introduced by a close friend. Not sure if my LO’s poopies aren’t smelly, or these just are great! I don’t have the diaper genie as they’re more expensive in the long run. But sometimes I leave my mini-trash bin open to air it out and my baby’s room is never smelly. I also love the scent of this. Smells powder and clean at the same time.
I prefer this one because it has more flexibility. We use 2 bags a day and still going through the first box. I ordered 9 more (18 total) so I’m good till we’re no longer using diaper. This can be used for food waste or cat litter or dog poop.

This brand of diaper sack is a repeat purchase for us. The sacks are inexpensive, easy to use (I like the tie handles), scent is pleasant/nonoffensive, and most important – they do a great job of containing odor. The only downside is that my previous purchases were packed as compact rolls of bags, which we found convenient. The current packaging (folded, in a box) makes it difficult to extract a single bag at a time. Had to drop a star for that. Otherwise, these are very functional and good value for the price. Will purchase this brand again when supply runs low.
