The smell is not as apparent as other fragrances of same brand, but works well

NOT TOO EUCALYPTUS FORWARD – DID NOT IRRITATE MY SENSITIVE SKIN
I am going to begin by saying that, whenever I see that a skin cleansing product is eucalyptus scented, I worry that it might be so strong that it blows my head off. That is not the case with this bar of soap. The eucalyptus, clove, rosemary and spearmint strike a nice balance that invigorates while not causing irritation to the more sensitive areas of the skin. I washed my face with this soap before shaving, and I experienced zero irritation. When I took a shower, using this soap left a lingering scent that my wife really liked.
AWESOME GENDER NEUTRAL SCENT
The fragrance of this soap is herbal and aromatic but not overboard. The scent is gender neutral, so this soap would make a nice gift for a man or a woman. The cardamom is a nice touch.
TOP NOTCH EMOLLIENTS
I appreciate that this soap is abundantly rich in emollients. Aside from the aromatherapy qualities of this soap, this product shines in its ability to moisturize. It left my skin feeling very clean yet soft and not stripped of moisture. Some soap manufacturers struggle with finding that right balance, but this company really excels here.
PRICE – YEAH, IT’S WORTH IT
Well, let’s talk about price. Is this soap expensive? Without a doubt. However, I would definitely consider this soap to be an artisanal quality product. Given its exceptional fragrance, its high end emollients, the absence of harmful chemicals and its vitamin rich ingredients… you’re getting what you pay for. Compared to other similar soaps available here on Amazon, the price is on point. In fact, weighing in at 5 oz, this size is more generous in size than many competitors.
FINAL THOUGHTS
This is a top tier product. If you especially like invigorating scents, then this soap has your name on it. With its rich emollients, this one is a winner!

This is a nice size bar of soap, which is a pleasant surprise. When compared to many of the natural soaps, this one is quite a bit larger. Honestly, I wasn’t sure about the scent. I’m not crazy about lavender mixed with mints, but this has the right combination of both. The soap lathers up nicely, and it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. It’s moisturizing without being greasy or leaving a film on my skin, and the scent is mild enough that it doesn’t clash with my regular scents. I’ve tried several natural soaps lately, and this is definitely one of the better ones.

This is a lovely, deeply moisturizing soap. My only disappointment is that it doesn’t very much like patchouli. If you read the box, the fragrance is actually a mixture of rose geranium, patchouli and vetiver. The floral scent is definitely the star here. And while it’s lovely, it wasn’t what I was expecting.
That aside, if you’re looking for a body bar that will leave your skin feeling silky, this gets the job done. The ingredient list is a bit difficult to read (white lettering on a pink field), but I can see it contains a number of natural plant oils and butters, including cocoa and shea butters, plus castor, olive and jojoba oils. There’s so much oil, in fact, that the bar feels very slippery and greasy straight out of the package. It also contains a host of botanical extracts and essential oils for fragrance. It’s a pale lavender color and has that “cut from the block” look you get with small batch artisanal soaps. It lathers well and leaves my skin feeling a bit slippery with hint of fragrance, even after a thorough rinse.

Best bar of soap I have ever used. I usually use body wash soap but this is a great alternative. Feels clean and smells great

Vegan Soap with Patchouli by Plant Apothecary – Get It On??? Get what on? Your soap?
This is soap. It’s expensive soap. SOAP.
It’s…soap. It’s like the soapiest soap I’ve ever used. No fancy upmarket advertising can obfuscate the fact that what you are buying when you spend an inordinate amount of money on this…SOAP, is soap.
Does it smell nice? I guess, if you like patchouli and coriander and frankincense and some other things. It’s not bad. It does not leave a lasting fragrance, however, that I notice, and I tend to notice these things because I am a fragrance-o-holic.
Does it CLEAN? Well, yes. It’s soap. They actually GIVE YOU DIRECTIONS for the “ultimate self-care ritual” in the little advertisement. Massage wet soap on yourself to lather, rinse, repeat. Translated into English, it means, clean yourself with soap. All over. Rinse. Repeat. You will get clean. Do it again tomorrow. Probably the next day, too. It isn’t quite as fancy as it sounds (you already know how to do this, trust me).
I don’t think this soap is worth its price tag. I buy tons of bar soaps, and they are all vegan, they are moisturizing, smell wonderful, and most importantly, they are all a fraction of this price. Hard pass.

These are strongly fragranced but not overwhelming because they are so spot-on. You can just tell this is a quality product by the generous, lasting amount of essential oils. I got the body washes first and loved them so much, I got the bar soaps too. But because these products are so expensive, they’re more of a spa day treat for me. Actually, I may just keep the bars to breathe in for therapy. The names and scents really do inspire the moods. The packaging is that lovely “apothecary” style. BTW, I was especially curious about Start Happy because I couldn’t really smell it through the foil in the body wash version. Even the bar soap seems to be weaker, but it has a sophisticated, warm citrus scent…if you’re afraid frankincense and patchouli sound too hippie. Get It On (patchouli as well) has a fresh, floral scent like you would find in boutiques.

This is a high priced bar of soap.
