Let’s begin with the bar. Arriving in a small cardboard box with a splash of funkadelic colors. With soap in hand it yields a surprisingly large size and shape that is at least equivalent to a standard bar of soap, if not more. Bathing Culture – Organic Mind + Body Soap Bar lathers and suds well and leaves the skin stripped clean of dirt and any oils. After rinse the skin now stops abruptly as there are no oils to facilitate gliding across the skin.
The bar produces a unique and familiar scent. It took may attempts to settle the mind in effort to identify the fragrance. Flux. That’s right …… this soap when in use smells like soldering paste or flux. Visit an assembly line at a circuit manufacturer and you will not deny this claim.
The good news is the flux scent is primarily on the soap bar itself and even if scrubbed over and over does not deposit or taint the body with the flux odor. It is not an unenjoyable scent but anyone who has worked around this kind of environment is bound to detect the same flux smell.
Bathing Culture – Organic Mind + Body Soap Bar performed very well in regards to getting clean. The unique aroma is tailored to the soap only and the essence does not penetrate or wear on the body’s skin. All in all the bar provides a skin stopping clean washing it free of any contamination.

I think this is more of a manly scent than a women’s honestly as the scent was woodsy to me. I did think the bar was of decent size , The soap lathers very nicely and rinses off great leaving no residue. This is an organic soap with a very high price tag , which will hinder a reorder from me. This makes a great stocking stuffer or Easter basket filler.

For guys, this scent is good. It reminds me kind of like Irish Springs. It’s definitely a good scent and it stays with you during the day after your shower so that’s great.
I definitely feel like it’s moisturizing, my skin feels good. Usually in winter I get some flakiness due to dry skin but this seems to be helping.
It is on the expensive side, for one bar this price seems heavy and I probably wouldn’t get it again unless it came down. I don’t know if that’s a standard price for “Vegan” soap. I wasn’t aware soap was made of animal products in the first place.

This is a true delight—this ecologically-conscious and thoughtfully-crafted soap bar is fantastic.
First, the packaging is friendly and fun and upbeat, and bears the certified organic by Oregon Tilth seal. The box is completely recyclable and biodegradable.
Next, the SCENT. WHOA!!!!! Do you love nature, walks in the woods, camping, or hiking among the evergreens? This bar of soap magically transports you there even if just for a moment—the scent is both relaxing and invigorating, and great for both women and men! Because the fragrance is natural, it does not irritate my skin.
Then, the soap itself is quite simply really nicely made. It holds together well (doesn’t get mushy the second it gets wet), and feels good on the skin. This is a great everyday bar soap for the shower, or would be nice in a guest bathroom as it is pretty and smells nice.
I recommend!

This has a wonderful, masculine scent. It lasts so long on your skin. Hubby and I love it. I think he’s just happy that he gets to have his own special soap. This soap would also make a great gift. If you are not sure, just try it, you’ll love it.

This bar of soap doesn’t leave my husband’s skin feeling tacky and it doesn’t dissolve away after just a few showers either. My husband is very hairy so there’s lots of friction and he struggles with a few popular name brand bar soaps lasting. He’s been quite pleased with this one and I love the way it makes him (and my bathroom) smell!

Positives: Made with organic and clean ingredients.
Drawbacks:
-Very strong fragrance- smells like spices/peppercorn. I am personally not a fan of this fragrance, maybe would be good for aromatherapy.
-After using it once, my skin felt a bit sticky but moisturized
-Quite expensive

What’s not to like about this Bathing Culture Organic Mind + Body Soap Bar?! Made with appealing ingredients with packaging on-brand, this eco-friendly bar of soap not only cleans well … it is safe for the environment too! I would expect no less for a bar of soap handmade in San Francisco.
This bar of soap has hippie aesthetic packaging and smells like the 60s. Being made from plants, herbs, and minerals, this soap has an earthy smell with hints of tea and citrus. The smell is strong, but that’s how I like it. I was also impressed by how well this soap lathers for being based in natural ingredients. I can’t abide soaps that only give you a little bit of foam, but this Bathing Culture bar produces some suds!
Some might find the $15 price point a bit high for one bar of soap, but this soap is fairly large and should last a long time. Plus, it’s filled with wholesome ingredients, so it is worth the extra money.
