Wow, I am surprised that this is still on the early reviewer’s program because I have been a loyal customer since more than a year ago. I really like the product overall and it has worked as advertised. My first purchase was June 19, 2018 and I have purchased a total of 3 times since then. In between I was also using another brand of coconut soap so I would estimate that around 4 sets would last me about a year – I only use it in the morning though.
Things I like about this product:
– cheap compared to many other brands of coconut soap, especially considering the number of bars received
– relatively consistent quality. There is no fragrance except for the most basic leathery soap waxy kind of smell
– it works like a coconut soap supposed to. although i only use it once a day in the morning and not at night, I don’t usually grow pimples unless I stay up late / had too little sleep / eat up too much fried stuff. What happen instead is that the hard stuff would just get ready to fall off when time has come, but without the process of inflaming the area around it which usually would have caused pimples.
– I mentioned that I have used another brand of coconut soap before. That brand’s soap is irritating the first time I used it on my face and some times even in the genital area. The skin would feel stingy. It has never happened to this brand.
– pure coconut soap are pretty hard to find out there. there usually is either added ingredients (e.g. shea butter) or claims to have added nothing but are expensive. this soap smells like what it claims to me, no fragrance, no other ingredients, just coconut soap
– recently its packaging had an upgrade. It used to be really, really bare and hand-taped clear plastic around the soaps, but my most recent purchase came in a more decorated hard card-board box, so I guess their business has grew
What I don’t like about the soap:
It didn’t happen with my most recent purchase, but some times the soap bars are irregularly shaped and we have parts that are fairly far away from where the plastic wrap is supposed to be, and I slightly felt I was being cheated of, but it only happened to maybe 3 soap bars out of all the ones that I’ve ordered, and I did not notice the same thing in my most recent purchase. I guess the bright is that this means these bar soaps could truly be hand-made……? well then it depends on how you feel about a soap being hand-made by someone else but that part would be subjective opinions.

These imported coconut soaps shipped from Santa Barbara, California were wonderful. The Mild Lavender had natural alum as deodorant and antiperspirant. My favorite was Aloe Vera to help heal wounds and sunburn.
I have bought many soaps before but I would definitely buy these again. I am so happy I found them.

Use this on my face. It has very light fragrance. Lathers very nicely. Cleans face well with cool water. Non drying.

I have used this for a month now and it’s easily my favorite soap I have used. I was once a handmade black soap person but I was looking to switch because frankly (if you aren’t getting black soap locally, can’t really trust the freshness/chemical free on most Amazon sellers)
This soap lathers, moisturizes, smells good, easy on the face. I can say enough great things about this soap. I love that it has minimal ingredient that you can read.
I’d dare to say, this is Dr Sebi approved (the avocado, papaya, coconut oil version only)
