I ordered the Lush Gardenia version because I love the scent of gardenia. Opened the Amazon box expecting to have a hint of floral scent – nope, nothing. OK, took off the shrink wrapping from the bars expecting some gardenia scent to waft at me – nope, still nothing. OK, opened a bar box and … nope, nothing. I have used the soap several times now and only find a very, very, very faint floral scent (so faint it is hard to tell it is gardenia). It may just be that these soap bars are rather old and the scent has disappeared. I am giving this 3 stars and not 1 because it is a very nice luxurious soap (although that is all it smells like – soap) which does not irritate my skin (something I have a problem with a lot of soaps) and even leaves my skin feeling soft, not dried out. So, get the soap for luxurious suds and no irritation but do not expect any particular scent.
UPDATE: I ordered the rose scent (since I love the soap, I ordered it again). I did not expect much in the way of scent because of the gardenia — BUT the rose is very fragrant. I have upgraded the rating to 5 *****
