This is some high end soap. The smells lasts a long time and the bar is very firm so it also last a lot longer than the usual softer bars.
Very nice for a gift and my husband and I really enjoy these as a treat. We bought the large 12 pack also.

Update – The 1/2 bar of woodgrain sandalwood lasted over a month. Scent was great throughout. Enjoyed it, would buy this one on its own. Just moved on to Heritage Tricorn. Performs great as a a soap, but scent is SO faint. Kind of disappointing after the first bar.
I only just recently got into bar soaps. I’ve been using Axe for years. A friend got me into fragrances and I thought trying out some of the finer soaps might be interesting. I really did a lot of looking before I finally purchased this. It was a little spendy, but everything I read said that the bars smelled good, were decent sized with good longevity – so I went for it (the left over credit on my account helped). I opened up the first bar (wood grain sandalwood) and am so far really happy. It smells so good, kind of warm and spicy – much better than the first bar soap I bought at a discount retailer (Duke Cannon Victory Big Ass Bar), which actually burns my nose with a strong chemical smell. Looking forward to finding out what the other two bars smell like (still wrapped)! The bar is plenty big enough. I cut it in half and lather up a mesh washcloth when I shower to make it last. It lathers up really well. I’ve been using it for a week and it’s only gotten marginally smaller. It rinses off clean, but a light scent of the soap stays with you after. And the bathroom smells really good. Will update this after I try the other two bars.

This soap is great! Most I have ever paid, but I feel the value is there compared to other soaps. Fragrance is subtle and present at the same time. Not over-powering, but is noticeable from time to time during the day in a most pleasant way. Last quite well so far and lathers up very well. Splurge, get this soap and see if you agree. Up your grooming game to the next level.

I regret that I didn’t order multiple of these Presidential Soap Sets. I’m hoping they will come back in stock as Caswell-Massey does not ship to Canada.

Working review, got the 12 pack. Bought on a whim, grandfather used to use and wear Newport. Which is of course a great summer sailing scent that really brings me back. Have been through a few store-bpught brands as well as Duke cannon and squatch and this is FAR higher quality. Blown away and I’m not that far into the pack yet so I’ll keep editing as long as I remember but I had to say something. The Oare bar smells amazing. It has a long lasting scent that’s forward without being overpowering, my girlfriend loved it. It manages to be strong without letting any one scent overpower it so it’s kind of a mystery, you want to just sit there and keep smelling yourself to try to identify it. On the downside, however, the black clay seems to dry my face right out and wrinkle me up. I had to break out the almond bar just to use on my face, which is the opposite.. It’s extremely moisturizing and refreshing but the scent doesn’t stick with you at all. It still smells AMAZING but its gone once you rinse. I decided to keep this one to use on my hands. I haven’t tried them yet, but I assume it’ll be very much the same story with the cucumber, the lavender, and the verbena. The cucumber has an overpowering vanilla that makes my mouth water. The most recent I’ve opened is the jockey club which is a much more understated scent than even the Oare. When I first showered with it I didn’t even smell it on myself but my girlfriend likes it the best so far. It’s just a classic clean manly scent. Doesn’t dry me out either. Next up I guess is #6, will update. The dry bar smells a little old-school, musky and flowery like my grandma 👀 but I’ve learned that you can’t judge these things until you get them wet, my girlfriend and I have t been disappointed yet

We first bought a Presidential 3-pack while at Mount Vernon. It came with 3 separate scents. I thought “Number 6” and “Jockey Club” smelled great. My wife thought Jockey Club was by far the best. So I ordered the Jockey Club 3-pack from Amazon. It’s the same professional packaging. Each bar is wrapped in vacuumed plastic. The soap bars are large and last as long as a standard bar of soap of the same size. The scent is great without being overpowering and lasts quite a while. Though it costs much more per bar than a value bar of soap, my wife loves the way it smells on me and mentions it often, so I’ll be purchasing again.

I normally order Caswell-Massey soap bars directly from them, but when I saw the deal, I had to take it!
This is the Presidential Collection, so called because the three fragrances were each once favored by an American president. “Number Six” is the fragrance actually used by George Washington: a dry, , woody kind of clean scent. (Caswell -Massey the company dates from 1752, so yes, they really did get Washington’s orders for this fragrance!) “Almond” was the soap Ike Eisenhower chose for its mild almond scent, and subtle moisturizing. “Jockey Club” was preferred by John Kennedy–another dry but sophisticated scent. All bars lather very nicely, and the scents are clean, not overwhelming, and last as long as the bar of soap does. Good for a man’s gift.
