I was surprised by how well this product smells and functions. Produces a large amount of lather for washing hair. Only drawback is that the bar goes fast, but that’s typical when being used for hair and body.

Update January 2024:
Even though I love this soap, I’m knocking off one star because Bravo Sierra has stopped offering the unscented version, and the price has increased from $9.99 to $12 (actually $14 on their website) within the last 3 months. I loved this soap for its value and quality. Don’t lose loyal customers. Find another way to deal with inflation. A bar of soap shouldn’t be $12… Also, since my initial review, I’ve tried some of the scented versions, and love them just as much. I used it on my hair too, and it works just as well as natural shampoos I’ve tried. The Fig & Sandalwood scent smells exactly like a classic barbershop (or Pinaud-Clubman After Shave, IYKYK). But again, with all of that, I’d love to see the unscented version come back and for the price to be more reasonable.
Original Review:
When I first opened the box, I was a little concerned by the hairline fractures you can see in this photo because of another review that mentions the soap falling apart. So I purposely tried to break it… and it’s fine. These fractures are clearly a result of the way the soap is made but don’t affect its durability at all. I’ve been using the soap for about a week now, and it’s holding up. As far as smell, I wouldn’t call it scent-free (but there is no fragrance added). The ingredients it’s made with have their own subtle, pleasant scent that is kind of powdery. This soap lathers really nicely, and I don’t need to rub it all over my body to get it to spread. I just wet the bar and rub it between my hands, and it makes a ton of lather that I can use all over. I would describe the lather and the feeling of the soap as milky. It feel luxurious. The soap also doesn’t leave that classic soapy film or tacky feeling on my skin. After my shower, I feel refreshed, clean, and natural. The subtle scent lingers just long enough without being intrusive. I haven’t tried it on my hair (and probably won’t), but I’m satisfied with the soap so far!

LONG STORY SHORT:
I love this brand, and I love this scent. But more importantly, my WIFE loves this scent. Sometimes she unknowingly gets a whiff of my freshly washed body, and she’s all “ooooo you smell so GOOD! what are you wearing?” and I’m like “Soap Baby. Soap.” and Passion takes the wheel from there. How does it work you might ask? No clue. Pheromones probably, but I can’t confirm that. What even IS a Tonka bean? no one knows. but it’s provocative. It gets the people going. Either way, It’s a win in my book. *Possibly related, we’re expecting our first child in December.*
THE TRUTH IS (PROS):
-I’ve really liked this brand for a while. They have great products, with a limited number of ingredients, and they all smell great. I’ve tried most (if not all) of the scents, but this one is my favorite. But that’s like, a personal thing, so you do you.
-All-in-one cleanser for hair, face, and body
-Sulfate-free & non-drying
-Works into a rich, dense lather
-Enriched with Coconut, Shea Butter and Oat Flour for soft skin and healthy hair
-Scent Profile: Warm & Full-Bodied, with notes of Lemon, Cinnamon, Vanilla and Tonka Bean
-They give back a portion of Sales to the well-being of Military Families and Veterans.
CONS:
-Used to be cheaper…and boy…those were the days. I think they realized what they had…and now they’re charging accordingly.
-As with most bars of soaps, they seem to go quickly. Sure you can have them on a soap tray and keep them out of the line of fire from the shower water, but I often feel like a bar of soap (in general) is gone so quickly.
-They USED to have Body wash. It was awesome. Felt like it lasted forever. Same scent. They don’t seem to have it anywhere anymore.
CONCLUSION:
Love the soap, will continue to use it. Wish it was cheaper, wish they still have body wash…but I still think the soap is certainly worth it.

I’m a 53 year old male construction worker. I am minimalistic.
White vetiver/cedardwood is a very subtle pleasant wood smell. Vetiver is a tall grass. Soap doesn’t have any hints of a grass scent about it.
My hair feels clean, but also slightly squeaky/stripped. It’s not a dealbreaker. I use conditioner afterwards. Hair and skin feel great to hop in bed or get dressed and start the day.
Yes, it’s $2 an ounce/35 cents per shower.
It seemed costly until I noticed other high quality soaps like these are more expensive, especially if they are also for hair.
The lather goes a long way compared to department store bars. I am clean using less soap.
Sandlewood is my favorite. It makes the restroom smell like there’s a candle in it.
I would describe the scent on me as fresh bohemian. It almost smells like I hung out at an incense store. Slightly 70’s hippie, but very classy and formal or leisure at the same time.
Well executed product.

Tonka bean and lemon smells divine. The texture of the bar is really smooth and is fantastic as a shampoo as well. It foams nicely and leaves both skin and hair soft.
It’s a solid product. And they support the Navy SEAL foundation so easy choice.

I switched to BS for a long time about 2 years. But then out of nowhere they doubled their price. I reevaluated how I was using it. I found I was going through a bar of soap about every 2 to 2 and a half weeks.
I still use it for travel because it’s convenient.
It cleans great. I like the white vetiver scent. So I’m not going to give it one star or five stars. I’m only giving it 3 stars because it is more expensive than it should be and doesn’t last as long as it claims even though I do keep it out of the shower spray and I even use the loufa pouch from BS.
