This is better than Whey Proteins, but not as great as a pure Isolate Protein. It’s a blend, for the price, it’s a great deal. If money is no problem, go for a straight protein isolate.

This Rival Whey protein powder is delicious. It actually does taste like soft serve ice cream or homemade vanilla churned ice cream. I do not like liquid drinks, but this one is great tasting, and I drink this almost every morning. I put a scoop in the blender with 8 oz of unsweetened almond milk and some crushed ice. I have even put it in the freezer after making it for about an hour and when you take it out to eat it, it tastes just like churned homemade vanilla ice cream. They are not kidding when they say it is soft serve vanilla flavor. I love this protein powder because it has no sugar in it and it has very few calories. It is a complete breakfast meal that actually tastes good. It is very fine powder so it mixes really well in the blender. I have even bought other flavors that are every bit as good as the vanilla. I have tried other protein powders, ut this one beats them all hands down. If you are looking for a delicious sugar-free protein shake, this is for you. I highly recommend this brand.

The price is decent. This flavor is NOT. I just chug my protein anyway so it’s not that big of a deal to me. It tastes like it has been flavored with dollar store cocoa powder. If flavor is important to you, this isn’t for you. It reminds me of the old school Weider brand from the 90s. Yuck

I was buying bsn syntha 6 protein for the last year and one of the younger guys I work with said that its a higher calorie protein. So I checked and not was he right. It tasted good but did some research and found out its got a lot of crap in it. I found this brand Rival, 100% whey not some garbage blend, only 120 cals per scoop 3 more grams than syntha 6 with only 1 gram of fat, whole syntha 6 has 6 grams. I’m trying to lose some body fat and if your not paying attention calories can add up fast from even protein powders.
I got the vanilla flavor 10lb bag. It’s really light, I don’t feel bogged down after guzzling 2 scoops. It mixed super easy with no clumps. The taste is pretty good, very clean tasting, not heavy at all, no chemical taste at all like with some protein powders. I’ll be using this for protein ice cream and other recipes. Does it taste as good as syntha 6? no, but it’s still really good and it has 80 less calories and 5 grams less fat per scoop plus it’s not full of filler garbage. Overall I would absolutely recommend you get this.

Gave this a try when Amazon stopped carrying my normal 10lb whey isolate I’m subscribed to monthly. Not a pure isolate but it’s about $50 cheaper with the same calories, protein, fat, sodium content, plus more servings, & it actually digests extremely well while being quite delicious. I got the vanilla because I add fruit, pb, etc to change the flavor however I like. I’m extremely glad I tried it. May not be best for those with lactose issues, an isolate is needed then but if you digest dairy easily like me then this should give you 0 issues. Makes delicious protein ice cream in a ninja extractor or creami, cooks very well.
