This is a great powder for the price. In a shaker it mixes well with no clumps, it doesn’t do as well in a glass with a spoon. The sucralose to sweeten it actually tastes good and better than other powders that use artificial sweeteners. The ingredients are more complete for better performance than other powders too but it is still missing vitamins like d and b-complex. Using milk helps with vit d and also makes it taste even better

I Love this Strawberry flavor. I love being able to switch back and forth with Chocolate flavor. I know I Would like it in Banana flavor.

Vitamin Shoppe and the brand I had been buying for years bumped the price up over the past year or so by about 40%. Not cool. As I had worked through brands available at VS that was the lowest price isolate protein that had palatable flavor. Other brands also had their prices jacked…. So came looking on Amazon.
This is priced at about the same as what I had for years been paying for the brand I had bought at Vitamin Shoppe, and was surprised that the flavor is actually better. A bit more sugar than the brand I had been buying, but it’s really a negligable difference.. Overall, good product, good price. I’m satisfied.

I have used a lot of different Protein Powers and this one is one of the very best. First of all, opening the container, the smell is very pleasant as a lot of others have a plastic/chemical smell. The powder when mixed does not clump and is easily dissolved in milk. The power when mixed is very smooth and great tasting (Vanilla). I usually have my drink with a fruit muffin and it’s a great combination. As long as his Rivalu Whey is available, I’ll continue to buy it. Great taste and easy to use, smooth and creamy. Can’t say enough good things about it.

Flavor is always a gamble when trying out new protein powders, so I was pleasantly surprised with Rival Whey’s Cinnamon Toast Cereal flavor. It tastes just like you’d expect, like a sugary cinnamon-laden cereal, which makes it an excellent choice for a breakfast shake. That said, the flavor is on the sweet side so if too much sugar (or sucralose in this case) sets your teeth on edge, steer clear.
The macros are decent for a budget protein, with each scoop providing 120 calories, 1 gram of fat, 3 grams of carbs, 35 mg of cholesterol, and 24 grams of protein. It also includes 5.5 grams of BCAAs.
I only mixed with water in a standard shaker bottle and found it very soluble with no noticeable clumping or excess froth. Recommended, and I will definitely order again.

This is a great whey protein and, in my opinion, the best bang for your buck. Sure, there are some that are less expensive but I’ve found the flavor is worse and/or it doesn’t mix well. Rival mixes really well and tastes great.
The first flavor I tried was cinnamon toast, but they’ve been out-of-stock for many months. Marshmallow is my favorite and soft serve vanilla is fine. I would be buying cinnamon toast if they ever had it back in-stock but my guess is that it will never be. I contacted Rival months ago asking two things: 1.) when will you have cinnamon toast back in-stock and 2.) why is the price of your whey protein more expensive on your own website than it is on Amazon (a really bizarre thing considering you also have to pay for shipping)? I got no response back. I’ve been buying Rival protein for the last six months and it’s discouraging to see zero response from customer service. Don’t list an email address for customer service if you just ignore people.
Aside from Rival discontinuing one of their most delicious flavors, I’m happy overall. Their whey is reasonably priced and tastes pretty good.
Rival, according to their website is a company that was founded by the guys that founded Optimum Nutrition. They shouldn’t need business advice but here it is: take a business tip from another successful company, Ghost, and have someone respond back to customer service questions.
