I have been dealing with sensitive gut issues for as long as I can remember.
I have been taking probiotics religiously over a couple of years (or a bit more), and I can say it has helped me a lot.
Now I am fairly new to digestive enzymes and only started taking it a couple of months ago (a different brand). I have to say, these enzymes seem to have a positive effect for me who regularly eats meals containing carbs ( and all others of course lol). For probiotics, I try not to change brands if it works well for me unless something comes highly recommended or from a brand I trust. This is for the latter case.
A few months ago, I had a chance to try a bottle of supplement from 5% nutrition and it worked perfectly. I might say it worked too well (it was a pill for water retention, I only needed to take a half dosage as the suggested amount was for professionals who get ready for stage or competitions). After a positive experience with them, I also tried a couple other supplements from this brand, all of which worked out great.
So naturally, when these two supplements from 5% nutrition, which I need and take anyway, I didn’t hesitate to request them.
Now, for digestive enzymes, I check it includes at least 3 of 5 most common enzymes.
For your information, the most common enzymes are : Amylase (an enzyme that breaks down starches), Pectinase (a pectinase enzyme that breaks down pectin in fruits), Invertase (breaks down sucrose sugar), Lactase (a sugar found in dairy products), and Glucoamylase (breaks down maltose sugar).

So far, I have been taking these for about 3 weeks, and I haven’t had much issue with my gut.
Again, I have been taking probiotics for a long time so not sure this did anything particularly different, but obviously it is working for me, (if it hadn’t, I would have experienced some kind of setbacks). I think digestive enzymes have especially helped me digest carb ridden meals in that I don’t have much trouble like I used to afterwards.
Based on my experience with this brand so far, I think it brings quality supplements and delivers its promised results (for me).

I got this for my mother-in-law who was visiting and was dealing with some upset stomachs. My wife is a regular user of digestive enzymes, so we got these to see if we could help her mom out. In short, the enzymes and pro-biotic/pre-biotic combo has done wonders for her. She takes them according to instructions; the pro-biotic/pre-biotics are two pills daily, and the enzymes are before each main meal (typically twice a day). She’s had a very settled stomach since beginning to take these.
It’s worth mentioning that these are on the pricey side. You can find good enzymes for below $20, and pro-biotic/pre-biotic blends for $15 or so. If these were priced around the $40 mark, it would be more palatable than the current price of $55. Still, the quality is great, and they’ve worked.

Digestive Defender works! My gut has never felt so healthy. I’ve used other Rich Piana 5% Nutrition products in the past and have never been let down. These two bottles hit both the digestive enzyme and probiotic aspects and do a great job of regulating GI health. No complaints whatsoever.
Piana may have had his own issues but he knew nutrition and how to get his body to be at its peak. These 5% supplements continue the healthier aspect of his legacy.

This combines digestive enzymes with probiotics. While I’ve come across probiotics that have some measure of digestive enzymes as part of the formulation, this takes it a step further by having two bottles. While that means there’s one more pill to swallow, the benefit is that both the probiotic and the digestive enzyme formulations are better than average.
The probiotic provides both an excellent potency (75 billion CFUs per serving) and strain diversity (14 different strains). The strains are identified on the label but not the specific concentration of each. A serving is two capsules. The probiotic also includes a decent level of prebiotics and some general gut health herbs (ginger root, licorice root and peppermint powder). All in all, it’s a solid probiotic formulation.
The enzyme capsules hit all the major enzymatic groups. It’s rather low on lactase (174 ALU per 2 capsule serving) so it’s not a good formulation for lactose intolerant folks (and does not claim to be) but covers all other food groups pretty well. It also has a vitamin B complex (B1, B3, B6 and Biotin) which is not often found in digestive enzyme supplements. As with the probiotic it’s a solid formulation.
The only con is the price. It’s a bit more expensive than purchasing a similarly formulated probiotic and digestive enzyme supplement, but it does have the convenience of one-stop shopping, which always comes at a price. Since the price is not terribly out of range, I’ll not deduct from the overall score due to that.
It’s a good all-in-one approach to gut health that covers probiotics, prebiotics, general gut health herbs, B vitamins and a comprehensive mix of digestive enzymes. Five stars.

I am very pleased with these probiotics. I decided to try these because I have a sensitive tummy. I have been taking them for almost a month now. I am pleased with the results. I haven’t had any stomach discomforts since I began taking these regularly. I take 2 probiotic pills together with 2 digestive pills at any meal time. I really don’t like swallowing pills so I would prefer that the probiotic and the digestive enzymes were combined into one capsule. I am sure there is a reason as to why they are separate though. Regardless of this, I have noticed that my tummy is digesting food a lot easier. I am using the restroom more frequently in a healthy way, if you get my drift 😉 The price standpoint may seem a little high but you have to remember that you are paying for 2 products that work.
