My wife is small and it was too heavy the first week after surgery. After getting the bandages and stitches removed, this is the go to cold compress. The straps help keep it in place. The part that touches your skin soft and comfy. Gets cold quickly. You store it in the freezer in its own bag. Great for rotating 20 minutes on and off. My wife is using it after her rotator cuff surgery. Really great after physical therapy.

Bought and used two wraps. This design was perfect. I had a rotator cuff tear at one shoulder, and mild soreness on the other. But I only needed one wrap for both shoulders per session. I iced my torn shoulder for 20 minutes (every 2 hours), and switched to the other milder injury with the same wrap for another 20 minutes. Then returned the wrap to the freezer. I bought 2 wraps so that after 2 hours there would be one wrap completely frozen and ready. The design was great for me 5ft, 118 lbs. I used an essential oil blend for pain relief which I rubbed into each shoulder (someone did this for me for the first 3 days) before wearing the iced wrap. I had a speedy recovery by Day 9. I reduced the icing to 2x a day by Day 6. And used the ice wrap as needed if I overused my shoulder after Day 9. Day 1 was too painful to use the sleeve part but I folded the wrap in half and that covered the entire rotator cuff. However I couldn’t walk around as it wasn’t strapped on. But I just had to be still sitting or lying for 20 minutes, reading etc, which was a good thing. Once the pain subsided I was able to use the sleeve part and shoulder section, and do other things if needed. I’m not sure why this is noted as a frequently returned item. Maybe people return it after they are healed. I’m happy to keep both my wraps.

I ordered the standard size, which fits me with not a lot of extra length in the elastic strap that goes over the shoulder and around the chest. I’m not a huge woman, so if you have wide shoulders or a big chest, definitely order the XL.
I put it in the freezer overnight and then moved it to the refrigerator due to lack of space, and it was still very cold hours later. The gel was still flexible, however, and didn’t dig into me anywhere. Not too difficult to put on, as the main strap is plenty stretchy. Make it easier by threading the arm strap before sliding it onto your arm.
Extra comfort: the inside is lined with soft, flannel-like fabric. Comes with a plastic storage bag which is too small to just fold it once, and to use it you must fold it at least twice.
Appears to be well made but time will tell. My surgery is in 10 days so it will get a good workout and I’ll update later.

I have a torn rotator cuff and this ice pack fits really well and stays cold for quite a while. It has two sides so you can use it with or without a shirt (soft cloth side versus super cold side.). It seems to be good quality.

It’s missing thr actual shoulder strap so I can’t even use it… I have bad neck and arm nerve issues so this product would help pain using hot or cold compress… but now hard to use because I cannot strap it in place

I was looking for a way to ice my shoulder and upper arm due to injury. For years I’ve been using wide ace bandages and soft ice packs, and clumsily wrapping it around the shoulder. Now that I’m older, I just can’t do those machinations, and wanted a better way to fasten an ice pack to that area. This works GREAT. The straps are nice and wide, the Velcro holds well, and it’s easy to put on and adjust once you get the hang of it. The coldness lasts as long as any other soft ice pack I have, and I have a lot. A few things to note: This is NOT to ice your lower neck. it’s not made that way. I am only 5’2″ so on me, I get part of the pack touching my neck. But the straps are not meant to hold it against the neck, so if ice to the neck is what you need, move on. Also, it comes with a large plastic bag with instructions that say keep in bag when freezing. To me that’s high maintenance. Do they expect this to leak at any time? If it does, I will revise this review.

This is a good product but it’s really not made for a smaller frame. It’s challenging to put on independently and it’s too large for my 5’2″ frame. I end up folding some of the edges that would otherwise poke me in the neck. REALLY wish they made this in a smaller size, but it does the job. Gets very cold and stays cold for at least 20 minutes.

This ice pack is very easy to use and is very comfortable. I typically use it with a t-shirt, but has some direct skin contact with no issues. Provides relief for sore shoulder/rotator cuff issues.

I ordered this for my wife who fell and hurt her shoulder. It’s difficult to ice your shoulder with regular ice packs and this one fits the ticket! Easy to use and very effective.
